For all the people that are planning to get something, I'm surprised there haven't been more others like myself that actually already have something nerdy emblazoned on their body. Interesting.

My sister has a triforce tramp-stamp, and I have a friend that is supposedly going to get the ouroboros from FMA placed somewhere on his person. I might like a tiny Raichu someday.

Since my camera is unavailable, I googled it and found other people have similar ones. I have one of these symbols on my upper right arm, but larger and with more intricate shading;

Also, found this on the same page and thought it worth showing for the sheer effort involved;

I'm not a fan of anything that permanent being on my body (other than limbs) but if I had to it would have to be a binary tattoo...

The whole concept of tattoos disgust me. It has a very primitive, tribal feel to it. However, I try to think I'm just being stupid, old-fashioned, and judgmental. Most of my friends have them, and I don't really care. It just doesn't appeal to me much. However, I'd probably get the metroid symbol somewhere, a pip-boy somewhere, I'm a guy so I can't really get a "tramp-stamp" (terrible name, dear god)...

I thought about something abstract a while ago. Friends suggest something in Gaelic but again, I feel really mixed about it.

That is really awesome. I'd be proud to display that, if I was to choose something.

I've never met anyone with geek tattoos, but I do see people with things online.

I plan on getting the Imperial Aquilla right below my collar bone and a Tau Sept Symbol on my left arm. Maybe even get the symbol of Khorne between my shoulders.

Any tattoos I get will be more personal, and therefore abstract, than anything too nerdy.
Which so far is the sun on one shoulder, and the moon on the other, both abstract and just simple black lines.

What do you tell your kids when its all saggy and wrinkly when your older...? I don't know, tattoos are fine and all, but some stuff just crosses the line. I don't like gigantic posterboard tattoos. Small ones with meaning to them are the best if you're going to have any.

If I were to get a nerd tattoo, it would be either a small tri-force on my palm or a Half-Life Lambda symbol...or maybe even the compassion cube. Something small, recognizable and tasteful.

EDIT: However, if pressured I would consider a medium sized section of circuitry kind of mixing with regular me on my shoulder.

Easy: the Blood Angels icon on the left shoulder, and a reproduction of Rembrandt's "The Abduction of Europa" on my back.

I want a tattoo of Mario in his Raccoon-flight suit :D
just as a fun-fact...

It's called the tanuki suit (pronounced tan-oo-kee)

It's named for the Japanese raccoon.

Mine would be the 5 Rules of Guncraft from Black on my back. On top of that, I've long been debating an AK-47 on my forearm

I know someone who had the 6 lines of the Old Code tatooed on his back and the symbol of the round table beneath it.
actually if I ever got a tatoo, that is what it would be

His blade defends the helpless
His might upholds the weak
His word speaks only truth
His wrath undoes the wicked
You've gained +3 to the respect stat for making that reference.

I don't think I'll ever get a tattoo, but if I did it would either be the Imperial Aquila from WH40K or one of the symbols of The Inquisition from that same universe.

I might get a small stylized Ak47 on my forearm, along with the number 13.

I named my 2 year old son Locke Douglas. Locke for the Final Fantasy 6 character, Douglas for Douglas Adams (wrote "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy").
So, I've got a mommy tattoo that shows off my geek side. It's my son's name and birthdate, and in the middle is the 16-bit sprite for Locke Cole from Final Fantasy 6.
I thought it was awesome. :)
