Generalize some music

I got this idea while listening to Nujabes on the bus today. For those of you who don't know Nujabes, they are the guys behind the music (well, some of it) of Samurai Champloo. This thread is not about anime, so thats the last I'll mention it.

Now, Nujabes is a rather interesting band (or whatever you want to call em) because their music is always really chill jazz music with rap sometimess. The jazz I love (it is so chill and relaxing) and I actually enjoy the rap as well. It isn't the kind of hip hop jazz that I hate--the kind that relies on a catchy beat more than anything else, the kind that says "nigga" as much as I use consonants--so I don't instantly shuffle the song to something else. The rap of Nujabes is thought out poetry in musical form, and I actually enjoy it. It is weird listening to rap that I actually enjoy, I usually hate most rap.

So thats my short story about how Nujabes is awesome, and here is where my thread idea comes in.

I want you to generalize a certain kind of music. You can get super specific and generalize a very narrow kind of music--like post progressive grindcore nu metal or something silly--but I want you to be more broad. Generlize rock or metal or hip hop.

Instead of generalizing it with words, I want you to generalize it with a song. Thats it, just one song by one band.

Feel free to generalize multiple genres if you want, but make sure you include the multiple videos as well. Free cookies to the first person that convincingly generalizes all music with one song by one band.

The goal of this thread is to see what people think of when they think of certain genres, and to compare that with what others think. Hopefully some of you can learn to appreciate different styles of music that you didn't before, or enlighten others so they expand their horizons.

My only rule about this thread is you cannot say "I am posting this song, but it does not do this genre justice" or some other bullshit. If that song doesn't capture the spirit of that genre, pick a different song.

I also want to remind you to have fun and not take this thread too seriously. Always remember this is Sparta! the Internet, and people are going to have different tastes.

Sweet. Another dead thread because people won't take the time to do a little reading.
*sigh*

I read, and gave it some serious thought. I just can't find a niche enough genre that one song would aptly sum it up.

You don't have to though. Just think of a genre like Rock. Then go find any Led Zepplin song and link it.
It doesn't matter if Led Zepplin is the epitome of Rock or the perfect representation of arock, its what I think of when I think of Rock.

Post a song by a band that you think is an accurate representation of a genre.
It doesn't even need to be a genre you like.

You are the first to do it right, so sure.
