Generic Zombie GAME! (IN CHARACTER WITH BRAINS!)(Private)

As with all stories about survivors and zombies in a post apocolyptic world most men find such things insane.
So insane that most if not all of these men would declare that they are too sober for this shit.

So for various reasons you all find yourselves in the same bar that thankfully is heavily barricaded.

Some of you came for the booze.
Others came for safety.
Others just came because they were being chased by things that wanted your brain and thus had no choice.

Regardless you're all in the same boat now and have been for a day.

The bar itself has been looted of all booze (NOOOOO!) but still has water flowing from the taps.
The bar itself is rather barren, the furniture has been taken and used as barricades.
A few broken bottles line the bar itself and the jukebox lies in the corner slightly smashed.
The glass windows are thankfully all intact and are covered by curtains.
There are two exits, the front door and a back door.

So what do you all do?

It is 10am in the morning and as far as any of you can tell there aren't any zombies nearby judging by the lack of moans.

Jethro put a cigarette in his mouth and reached for his lighter, irritated when he remembered he lost it. He kept the smoke in his mouth anyway, it just felt natural.

He surveyed the room, then looked warily at the others.

"Soooooooooo... How's everybody doin this fine morning?"

John began searching the bar. Primarily for an intact pool cue, a broken bottle with lots of sharp edges, and tape.

"Not bad, not bad."

Scavenger perk bonus!

Though no tape was found John manages to find a somewhat broken pool cue that can still be used as a weapon and a mostly used up tube of super glue, probably won't last long but the stuff probably could be useful some other time.

Phill sighed his blood encrusted keyboard tightly clutched in his hands.... Sitting upon a bar stool by the bar.

"Well... I'm alright.... I'm just thinking, probably not the best idea to drink the water... we need some kind of bottled stuff."

Phill tries to recall any knowledge about the area... if any... such as local shopping centers or seven 11... for later reference.

"Anyone know the area well?"

The area in general did in fact have a few convenience stores around, most of which sold over priced snacks.
Not much of a problem these days though.
The closest one was across the street however it was destroyed and most likely looted already by the time any of you had reached the bar.

That said this area does have a few looters still going over the place occasionally, so the stores hopefully haven't been picked dry yet.

He carefully took a peek outside to survey the zombie situation.

Joining Jethro by the window, Phill peers with him. He tried to focus in on the shop across the street, to assess the situation with the store itself.

"The names Phill by the way"

John walked over to the windows as well, but saw no point in actually looking outside seeing as the other two were.

"I'm John."

The Survivors Notice:

x3 Ruins.
x4 Debilitated Buildings.
x1 Man in the distance holding up what looks to be a protest sign standing atop a crate.

Though it's faint you both think he's chanting something.
You'll have to go closer to find out what's going on as even the text of his sign is illegible at this distance.

Phill is conflicted... he decides to flip a bottle cap he has found nearby... top up he will vote to help the fool... bottom up....not happening bro... Phill flips the cap.

Hmm generally I don't like people using items outside of their starting list but I'll make this exception if only because I like the idea of 50/50 chance sort of thing.


That said I've already taken away a lighter and I don't want to seem unfair so for now I'd like you to edit it out.
That said there are probably bottle caps around you could flip?


As the rules are still being tested what do you guys think about starting equipment? Just make a list and give players points depending on their class?
Perhaps make an entirely new class based on having no perks and just lots of stuff?
I should've made it more clear that said rule set was still not entirely complete and this game is mostly a test. For example I find Veterans are waaaay too common for what they are and I'm considering putting a one vet per party limit. Would like to hear everyone's thoughts.
