My friends and I play MW2 all the time, but I am so terrible at it, that my main job is hiding behind the riot shield. So I love FPS but am bad at them. (except TF2, I'm good at that.)

definitely RTS's... i usually find myself using cheats or at least the game's system of making custom maps (Warcraft 3 and Starcraft and C&C Tiberian Sun are my best examples) I only buy RTS games when they have a way of making custom maps :p

You know what I mean, that certain type of game that you really enjoy playing, but, no matter how much you play, you are never any good at. For me, its RTS's. I own quite a few, but I can never beat the campaign or get anywhere online.

So, what about you guys?

By the way, I did a search, but I didn't find anything recent on the same topic.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma.... oh god...
I just... suck at that game. After about the 30th or 40th guy I counter attack, I start to get sloppy and those rocket launcher guys. Or the guys that slit your throat...
Everything in that game is designed to basically hate you... >.<

Am i the only one on these forums that is any good at strategy games?
I'm feeling snobbish and cockey knowing that I can only be challenged by expert computers in DOW 2(easy challenge but haven't played in a while so it will probaly be harder the 2 first times to get the rust of xD :p:p:p:p:p xD lonley :(

OT:let me think here... online FPS is the only one that I can come up whit (though geting sniped by somebody hiding in a house across the map is not necessary a showing of a lack of skill) but I do tend to get bad K/D ratios like 0.5 on decent day and 0.9 on a good day.

EDIT: 100th post YAY! ^^

I'm really terrible at multiplayer RTS like Warcraft or Starcraft, it makes me sad really, I just don't improve fast enough.

RPGs, mostly Final Fantasies, but others too. I die and I die and I die and for good measure, I die some more.

Oh and RTS of course. Loved the Starcraft 2 Beta and managed to get into Platinum League by using the marine and marauder build and getting beatable opponents in my placement matches. First match in the actual league, I got my ass chewed off. (I really suck at long games, aswell as the last few Zerg missions of Brood War.)

Don't think I really suck at any genre.
I'm able to beat single player campaign on normal and beat my friends in multiplayer atleast, but RTS is the genre I'm the worst at.

I'm not the best at RTS games. Micromanaging is not my strong suit. Yet, last time I played Command and Conquer against my friend, I had so much fun.

Most fighting games, especially the more 'hardcore' ones. The only one I'm actually pretty good at is Super Smash Bros.

Im pretty terrible at RPG's, it takes about three playthroughs before I make a character thats even remotely strong, however I love them.
Don't feel bad about that. That's the case with many, if not most, RPGs. Morrowind, one of my top 3 favorite games, took at least two playthroughs before I got a character that was really solid.

OT: RTS. Through years of practice and experience, I've become pretty good at Starcraft but RTS games are not games I can just pick up and play.

Final Fantasy XI. I started it a couple of weeks ago, and I like it, but I keep getting killed by things I killed easily two seconds ago.

Fighting games for me. I don't have the patience or the memory to memorize all those combos.
