That's right. It's been years, many years. Over a decade. It became wildly popular, and then slowly decreased in popularity, eventually sinking into the morass of obscurity.

But tonight we're bringing it back. Aid me, fellow Escapists. Let this once mighty prince return triumphantly. Let it show all who have forgotten why they are not worthy to see it rise again. Let those who were too young to understand, or too young to even see, weep for what they have missed.

I beg of you, share here your favorite versions, your favorite tales, your personal sagas of your experiences with said epic event. And broadcast it to all you see, that we are bringing it back. I support this, with all my might. This was the first meme I saw, when I came onto the internet quite a few years ago. Till this day, the stupid, funny computer voices and badly translated English make me laugh. And it's never changed...it's got a funny little charm to it, and I'd be more than happy to see it return.

The music was the best. Nostalgia demands I miss the "classic web". With the lolcats and the O rly and the fails...stupid place. But it was simpler. I find it funny that one of the earliest memes was of a certain "dancing baby". Nobody on the internet besides those that spend all of their time on Facebook seems to like babies...and it was an ugly gif, anyway...also:

Oh, jeeze. I remember being a naive little shit who was just starting to get into message boards and the general 'net culture and thinking all of these 'shopped masterpieces were real. For a couple years, I thought memes could involve people hijacking highway signs or building lighting systems to create ephemeral art.

Which it kind of can, but not usually. The first time I fiddled around with an image in Photoshop 7.0, I distinctly felt a part of that magical naiveté crumble away into dust.

Plus, Sean Bean would've had a pretty short career if that had been the case. XD
