Genuinely Good Looking Box Art

I really liked the box art for the european edition of Heavy Rain. It wasn't too crowded with stuff and it had a dark and mysterious tone to it.

Ooh. I like that.

And bonus points to that picture, because that keyboard looks like a Logitech G11, which I have, and the mouse also looks very much like the Logitech G9 that I have. What are the odds.

I also like the Heavy Rain and upcoming L.A. Noire boxes, posted here. I haven't bought too many physical copies in recent years so I have to take a further look what would be my favorites.

It's very rare to see genuinely good box art. Usually it's the kind of tasteless crap that seems to be designed to appeal to 14-year-old-boys or Warhammer fans. (See Gears 3 cover in OP.)

On those few occasions when they do select something good, they go and smear so many logos on it you can hardly see the damn picture. (See Dragon Age: Origins cover in the OP.)

Kind of a shame really.

Ah well. Doesn't make the games any worse.

Yeah, the first Kingdom Hearts has a good cover, but I actually like the 012 Duodecim (Dissidia) box cover a lot more.

Uhm... you know, this thread made me feel really strange.
I thought I could just take a quick look through my collection and would surely find at least on cover that I could post as "good art", without having to qualify it with "for a video game box art at least".
But I found none.

I think this one might be kind of okay, in a very minimalistic sense

Agreed about AC, although I think AC 2's is even better.
