George Takei wants to take down Twilight.

This is pretty amusing. Apparently George Takei is calling for fans of Star Wars and Star Trek to end the feud between the two series and instead unite against a common enemy...Twilight.

As a fan of Star Wars I say this is hilariously awesome. I'd be more than glad to stand against Twilight. The books were alright, I guess, and I've never seen the movies (probably a good thing) but I've heard they're horrible.

Hmmm...well said, well said indeed. Although it does seem unlikely that anything would happen even if more people banned together under the banner of Twilight hate. But one can dream of Stephanie Meyer quitting being an author eh?

Considering how she's acted since she got fam0s, I really have absolutely no doubt she will milk the franchise until she dies of obesity.

While I do agree that it'll probably die off significantly when they're done with their "movies", this is, excuse me, absolute fucking win. I'd join these people without a second thought.

Already said but let it die, i never really did get behind the whole ragging on this film band wagon its like it wasn't made for me... i guess it serves a purpose and people are entitled to like what they like.

I can admit the fandom is annoying but no more so than bronies in my humble opinion, on a side note i don't think it will die its been a huge part of some kids lives as sad as that may be.

But yeah people like what they like, leave em be. Only time i get abit tweaked on my morals is with Justin Bieber and thats only due to his statment of "I am the kurt cobain of my generation" that statement... my god >:/.

Anyway, I do like Twilight (not a twi-hard, but I do look forward to seeing the film next year) and I'm not scared of the Trekkies and Star Wars fans. Even if he unites them (fat chance) the last film will be out and I'll have gotten all I want out of the series
