Steak Sandwich. Its a steak, only its in a sandwich.

That's right motherfuckers.
There is so much "man" in that sandwich that when you take a bite just grow facial hair.

On Topic: Generally I've been chowing down on salami sandwiches. Been craving salami for a long time and it's a nice break from constantly only having ham sammiches.

I remember when I bought some Nutella but also some Jif equivalent for comparison.

Quite honestly, I think the Jif knockoff is better.

I do feel weird about my snobbish feelings towards what does and does not makes a sandwich. Technically speaking, 1-2 spreads, a sandwich does not make.

I would rather serve you something with far fewer carbs in it, like say scrambled eggs with red kidney beans, spinach, chili, and thyme (and salt and pepper).
captcha: yeah right, it's true! I have the ingredients ready and all that.

Absolute favourite?
Rosemary baguette, smoked brisket, thinly sliced and fried potato, swiss cheese, crisp lettuce and a bit of strong, grainy mustard. Yum...

Stuff I can afford to do when I'm hungry though?
When I was in highschool, there was an Italian restaurant that had a deli at lunch and they did panini for $5. Got a cranberry/walnut/chicken salad on focaccia from there if I was buying lunch. Damn that was good. That or a turkey club.

As a hamburger: thick patty with cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, mushrooms, roasted red pepper sauce of some kind, and fried onion ring. Yes, I like my burgers, gigantic and messy.
I know what that's like. There a restaurant called The Works from my hometown that recently started expanding into different cities. They have the best burgers in the world, hands down. Half of the appeal is that you can get crazy toppings on it. For example, there's one called the "SK8TR Boy": bacon, Monterey jack cheese, lettuce and peanut butter. It's one of my favourites. The other best is called the "Dead Ringer" spicy cheese, an onion ring and another burger's worth of brisket on top. *drools*

Subway foot long cold cut combo with double meat and cheese.. i never make sandwiches at home tho, the stove is right there, at any point in time im 5 minutes away from bacon and eggs. Though grilled cheese, bacon and egg sandwiches are quite good..

I'm partial to the good old cheese an' pickle.
Nothing beats chicken, bacon and mayo on a freshly baked harvester baguette though

I cannot choose an all time favourite so I will go with my top 5, so here we go!

In no particular order...

- Bacon (must have HP sauce)
- Tuna & mayo
- Chip butty
- Crisps (Walkers cheese and onion works best)
- Roast pork and stuffing (preferably hot & carved straight off the joint)

I'm partial to simple stuff. Roast beef, bologna, turkey (all from the deli) on either white or potato bread, a cup of Coke, and with either some Sun Chips or a pickle on the side.

Sometimes I fancy some PB&J (grape jelly & creamy peanut butter on white bread), and the bar by me makes a good pulled pork sandwich.

Sandwich.

What goes into it? Psh. What doesn't go into it? Every edible food item in my fridge or cupboard is mercy to my loaf of wheatbread. It is the ultimate disposal of leftovers.

Slice of Bread. Random Food Item That Doesn't Smell Gnarly. Some random spice like Pepper or Chili Powder. Some grated Cheese. Spinach if I'm feeling healty, or Bellpepper if I'm bored. Another Slice of Bread. Slam the whole mess into a George Foreman. Pannini in 5 minutes.

I have a fried egg sandwich almost every morning. Fried in a skillet with butter for the bread and the eggs. When it's almost done I grind some fresh black pepper over the eggs, then place a slice of cheese over the top. Cut with the spatula, then serve with a hot cup of coffee.

I'm a simple man. Give me Ham, Turkey, and Sharp Cheddar on Whole Wheat with a just enough Mayo and Spicy Mustard to stick it all together. If I want it fancy I may add Lettuce and Tomato too.

Okay, so here's my favorite kind of sandwich.

You get some fresh, crusty bread. Best if you can make some yourself, otherwise go to a small independent baker. Get two think slices and butter them, not with margarine, butter.

Next, put some cheese on there, I'd suggest a parmesan or a sharp tasty. Then you get a chicken breast, skinless is easier to work with, but the skin just adds some delicious flavour.

Chop it up into chunks and coat it in crumbs or whatever coating you use (I make my own special one). Fry that sucker till it's moist and tender, put that on top of the cheese.

Fry some bacon, top that off. Add lettuce or tomato if you wish, I prefer it without.

Consume and fall into self loathing.

Does this count? I swear there's bread in there. Shrimp is disgusting, but it tastes so gooood!

Ok, this joke REALLY was worth bringing this thread back for, chapeau.

On topic:
Grilled Nutella sandwhich.
Did I say that already?
Then grilled Peanut Butter Nutella sandwhich.
