Getting a PS3 for Christmas, what games should I ask for?

Well the title sums it up, I have been told that I am getting a 80g PS3 for Christmas. Now the question is, what games should I add to my list so I have something to play on this black behemoth. I already own a 360, and would like to avoid choosing between the two consoles unless there is massive differences (also I'm an achievement nut lol). So a bigger question is what exclusives are strong enough to drag me away from my 360 den. I love FPS and RPGs, as well as anything involving Action, Adventuring, and solid platforming. I just bought Borderlands and Assassin's Creed 2 for my 360 so you can disqualify those.

Well, of you like FPS's then I suggest the Resistanc Series and Killzone 2, both are fine shooters.

For Adventure/Platforming I'd go with the Uncharted and Ratchet and Clank series.

For RPG's I'd go with Demon's Souls. edit: oh, and Valkyria Chronicles.

All those games except Resistance 1 and one of the Ratchet and Clank games have trophies, so that should satisfy your achievment lust

Thanks for the fine list of recommendations. I planned on giving Uncharted a look due to the massive praise it is getting (and that my PS3 might come with it), and I have always loved Ratched and Clank. I've herd Demon's Soul is downright evil when it comes to difficulty, but it is by Atlus and I love Atlus (Persona 3/4 FTW)!

Disgaea 3. Hilarious SRPG that should take you an insanely large ammount of time to completely... complete.

Hmmm after inspecting this one (and Yatzee's review again) this is one I might also have to take a look at. I do love strategy RPGs similar to FF Tactics. And yes there are other Persona fans, you are not alone.

Firstly you sould get the 120gb ps3 for the same price as the 80gb.

Then you should get Uncharted 2, Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time and Little Big Planet.

Hells yeah. Once God of War 3, Last Guardian and Heavy Rain all come out I'm definitely getting a ps3 and the complete Lost six seasons blu-ray boxset...so i can have no life.
