Hello chaps,
It's been a while since my last post and I bring you something of a technical query:
I recently obtained a PS3 and I'm having a bugger of a time connecting it to my University's halls network.
I had intended to share the connection from my laptop with my PS3 via WLAN. However, as far as I'm aware, the PS3 doesn't support ad-hoc networking so this is out of the question, and I was wondering if there was any other way of going about this (aside from buying a router).
Info:
Laptop has wireless card and 1 ethernet socket.
The only access to the halls network is via ethernet cable (not wireless).
My PS3 (for network encryption reasons, so I've been told) cannot connect to the halls network directly via cable.
Laptop OS = Vista 32.
The University is Aberystwyth, Wales - just in case any of you happen to come here too (last time I checked there were a few).
I'd be greatly appreciative of any help as this is really starting to get on my nerves!
Many thanks!
