Getting a PS3, What game should I get

For a PS3? Get a back up PS3 in case the first one bombs.

You are either joking or a bit of a troll. My PS3 4 almost 5 years and still running great. Xbox 360, I'm on my 3rd in 5 years since 2 died. My current PC 3 years old and in need of some major upgrades and fixes.

LittleBigPlanet 2
it's an utterly brilliant game for anyone hwo enjoys old-school platforming. the story mode is rather short, but the user made levels and creation tools offer TONS of playtime

I bought a PS3 not too long ago and bought along with it..
Uncharted 2 (Beat the first one at a friend's house).
Metal Gear Solid 4
God of War 3
Demon's Souls
Little Big Planet 2
inFAMOUS

Of these, Uncharted 2 would get my vote. Brilliant singleplayer and pretty damn fun multiplayer. It'll get you good and hyped for Uncharted 3.

Demon's Souls is an excellent RPG as well.

Little Big Planet 2 is about as awesome as you'll get for a platformer with limitless entertainment based on the custom levels I have played.

Little Big Planet is a must-have.

It has the G-Mod experimental vibe that keeps you tinkering with the tools for hours.
Plus the story mode is absolutely brilliant, and shows off great ways to use the tool set they give you.

On a lesser note, if you've played the other games in the series, pick up Metal Gear Solid 4.
