I've been searching around for an airsoft gun to save up for and found that these replicas of the German made MP5 are going for less than 100$. I can eventually save up the cash for this...

Awesome gun for the price and it's on sale. Only problem is I'm wondering if I could get this thing into Canada, or if it would be held up at the border. I'd buy the clear one just to make sure everyone knows it's an airsoft gun. So do you guys think I could get it shipped in, or would I have to go to the States and get it there?

They would certainly have a problem with you carrying it over the border, but if you live in Canada and you're just getting it shipped to you, then I don't see any problem.

Check the import law.

it can't be stricter then Ireland's airsoft import laws.
I don't live in Ireland, how strict are the import laws on Airsoft Guns there?

Good point. I should check the laws, getting it over here by myself could bring up issues.

Quite strict but livable.

Essentially the police have to verify that it is indeed an airsoft gun and not an imitation firearm or real firearm.

I imagine it would be the same in Canada.

Get a bro outside Canada to just send it to you in a box. If they can ship uranium over the US internet, they'll probably let a plastic gun ship into Canada...

It's sucks so bad to live into the only country that does not allow airsoft. Yes, Holland. Luckily I can store my Real Sword type 56 with a friend in belgium. Since it can get you a fine up to 25000.

I dont know about Canada. But in the Uk and im thinking of getting this
http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?products_id=5775
so i have been looking at the legal forms, and you need a licence to have a normal coloured gun (not bight green/red) so you may want to check if you need something like that for Canada. As if you do, they may ask for it when it goes through customs.

As far as I'm aware of, you'd be better off ordering from a Canada based business, and legality wise, they are entirely legal except the silencers. Silencers are banned in Canada, so order one that doesn't come with one.

They can even throw 4 to 5 years of prison on top of it...

Check to see if it has a metal gearbox before you buy. That's the advice I got before buying my JingGong G36C and the best advice for these types of products. The clear body (weird) and orange tip is the usual designation that it is an airsoft or replica, and shouldn't be too much trouble getting across the border. If you are really unsure then buy something else from within Canada or have it shipped there by box.

I mean, I hate the laws here in America a lot of the time, but that is just plain ridiculous.

I can't afford a 300$ gun. That's an insane amount of money. I also looked it up and aparently you cannot import airsoft guns to Canada, so the retailers get away with such bullshit prices.

Unless you're buying a Tokyo Marui airsoft rifle, don't bother. The others are pretty flimsy, unless you want to go for a full metal case.

The issue is that Canada is mental when it comes to weapons of any sort. Airsoft guns ... unless they are the clear plastic ones are considered replica weapons. In Canada to own an Airsoft gun that looks like the real deal you have to have a PAL (gun permit) and must be 18. I kid you not. Yes oddly enough you can go into some stores and buy a full metal Airsoft gun for 500.00 or so but then if the police wanted to they could charge you with possession of an illegal firearm. The customs people will and do confiscate Airsoft guns at the boarder all the time. Is there a chance of getting one through? Sure ... but there is also a chance of being charged with trying to smuggle illegal firearms into the country.

Canada has a long history of making laws that make no sense. You can have dog repellent spray but it is illegal to carry pepper spray for example. The two are the exact same thing but one is marketed as a dog deterrent while the other is to avoid being mugged or raped. Wouldn?t want people to avoid that now would we? Airsoft guns in the wrong hands can obviously cause harm but then again so can a pair of scissors or a sharp stick.

So why risk trying to ship Airsoft into Canada when there are retailers in Canada? Well these retailers know that they are the only source and thus bend their Canadian customers over and rail them like a roofied prom date. A gun that might sell for 50.00 in the US is going to run 200.00 in Canada. A gun that costs 250.00 to 300.00 in the US will be 650.00 or so in Canada. So since our government and thus our retail providers are hell bent on committing retail rape ... we the Canadian Airsoft users seek other ways to get our WMDs ... or at least you'd think that?s what they were with the laws we have here in the Great White North.

On a side note pellet and BB guns that shoot actual metal projectiles at 500 FPS are perfectly legal in canada. See ... no sense.

Check the import law.
and if that fails, disable it for the trip and put it back together ounce your in canada. Also check to see if you`re allowed to have a gun in the first place.

Im pretty sure canada follows the same laws as the uk and ireland, which is that its fine and you dont need a RIF license for two-tone/50% clear bb guns, so you should be fine
