Ghost Recon: Any one remember?

Yeah. Still own Ghost Recon 2. Still hate it. Played it a few times online and quickly learned why I disliked anything "realistic".
1-shot kill? No thanks. Snipers everywhere that spawncamp? No thanks. Unsettling military-themes that point out how badass the US-forces are and depict other nations as either evil or cowards? No thanks.

I loved the first 2, especially for the Co-op, but then ran out of people to play with in the recent years, so have not played any of the later ones! Looking forward to the Kinect one though! With the fully customisable weapons!

I played the earliest Ghost Recon for PS2. I loved it, there were some very good maps. Especially the ship graveyard... clambering on all those rusting waterlogged hulks was such a thrill.

I remember playing Ghost Recon 2 (I think, it was the one where you had to stop a crime lord from stopping free elections in Cuba) and thought it was brilliant. Assigning traits to characters to better suit them and make them more effective, the various mission styles, and the overall bigness of the maps that still felt focused and refined.

God I loved that game. Now I wish I didn't sell my Xbox

I played the first Ghost Recon on my friends house many years ago, so I don't really have a connection to that game really. But GRAW 1 is still one of my favorite games believe it or not. It was just so awesome. Gotta play it again sometime soon.

I remmber playing coop with friends quite alot for these. We got to the end of a really hard mission and I accidently shot down our extraction helicopter. Mission lose, start again.
