Having finally caught the T-virus bug. I feel like playing a fun mindless Zombie slaughter game.
Looking at the many many MANY possibilities, I humbly ask for your opinions.

What is a fun zombie bash game?
I got a gaming pc, Xbox360 and a Wii.
Offline Co-op would be nice, but not needed.

Side note: Just to be sure, I'm not talking about games like Resident Evil 5. I am looking for a fun, fast, slaughterfest.

Left for Dead 1 and 2 are always a good choice, and Dead Rising 1 and 2 if you like slaughtering absolute mobs of zombies, but the plots a bit silly, doesn't look like any of them have demos on steam though, which is a shame

If I am to understand the whole Left for Dead idea, is that it's a online Co-op game, right?
or does it have a single player campaign as well?

Dead Rising is looking rather entertaining.

Well, both of the Dead Rising games are some of the absolute best zombie games out on the market, in my opinion, even though the arbitrary ingame timelimit is a bit bothersome at times. I'd say give either of those a try, and I'm sure you'll be satisfied.

No coop, though.

Both L4Ds have multiple campaigns which are best played online, but you can play them in offline coop with bots as well.

Left4Dead is 4player, but fills unoccupied slots with bots. You can still play it single, but i think its missing the point. It is MEANT to be a co-op experience.

Dead island is FANTASTIC Leadpipe->Face action. It plays sort of like Borderlands Ate Oblivion

Well, seeing as I'm not looking for a on-line multiplayer.
Left for Dead is scraped off the list.

Leaving Dead Rising 2 and Dead Island.
Tricky.

I heard Dead Island was so impossibly riddled with bugs it made Swiss cheese look like a viable building material. Basically alpha code. They fix it already?

Left 4 Dead (both of them) are great, but yeah, basically online. Dead Island is supposed to have a prominent online component but last I heard it wasn't working.

If you want to bash zombies I'd say Dead Rising (either) is your game. If you'd rather run from them in terror, try Resident Evil 4.

Would Painkiller count? It's certainly fun, fast and a slaughterfest, plus you're killing the army of Hell, which presumably includes loads of zombies... I have to say, it's one of my favourite slaughter-y games

Dead Rising 2 is a barrel of fun. The story isn´t great, but if you can suck up a zombie to a saw-bladed aspirator it´s good enough for me.

- Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 are epic mindless zombie shooters (but are best played online)
- Alien swarm is basically Left 4 Dead, but switch out zombies and FPS with aliens and top down shooter, also this game is free(but also best played online)

All I can think of...

You can't go wrong with the little XBLA game "I MADE A GAME WITH ZOMBIES!!!" (leetspeak removed). Costs a dollar, and is endless fun, especially with friends.

It also has the best soundtrack of all time, ever.

Sadly, The Netherlands doesn't support some Indy games in the XBOXstore, for some reason.
I'm thinking of picking up a copy of Dead Rising 2 for the Xbox360, only 20 Euro's.

Thanks for the advice!
