Huh, and here I thought it wouldn't load because my internet sucks.

Hopefully it gets back online soon. But if not, I'll live.

And for those who don't know, Giant Bomb is the site Jeff Gerstmann formed after he was fired from Gamespot.

Why was he fired?

He gave a negative review of Kane and Lynch 1. At the time Eidos bought a lot of ad space for Kane and Lynch, and seeing it get a bad review probably didn't go over too well.

So then Gerstmann was "let go", and his review was actually replaces with a more positive review. Then that review was replaced with the original. Its all convoluted and confusing and hints that good reviews can be bought.

I'm intrigued as well.

EDIT: Nvm it's been answered. If that's true, then that's pathetic. The only site that I know that sells positive reviews is IGN. I don't remember exactly why though...

Um... I never go onto Giant Bomb. I think I went on there once and never thought about it again.

He gave Kane & Lynch a mediocre review even though Gamespot was being paid a lot to advertise the game.

EDIT: Woops, sorry, didn't notice your edit.

Fuck, are you serious?

Giant Bomb is the only gaming website with Big Lebowski references in it!
I spent a month or two there after I got banned from GameSpot. The community was horrible but the features were pretty neat, TANG was awesome and the whole gaming wiki built in was too. Unfortunately the forums were more /b/ than anything else.

Hmm, didn't know that. Thanks for the info!

Kind of does make you question the integrity of major review sites, huh?

I like Giantbomb, so I hope it's up again soon.
