She must have forgotten the annoying fact that kids steadily get older and grow out of stuff like that.

Worst is when you get a game or movie you already own, so you have 2 choices:
1. say you already have it, possibly breaking their heart if they're not an understanding person.
2. keep it and secretly sell it, they will never find out because you still own a copy.

Reminds me of me uncle. My nan' got his family a New Wok, but his kids (my cousins) got him the same wok. In the end my nan gave the wok to us. Personally I'm not complaining since it makes cooking alot more easier then using a frying pan for most things.
