I am very curious to see how people respond to this, especially opponents of GLBT but also allies of the GLBT community.

how does this whole thing make you feel?

Oh, I thought this was actual news, not a fictional short-film. It's very well-made though.

I don't know if you realise this, but that was a fictional film. Not real. So you might want to add that part to the title. It's rather important.

And in fact was used to show how many LGBT people feel at school in reality.

So yeah, if this was real I would feel bad for the straight kid. No-one should be bullied because their sexual preference, whether it be different-sex, same-sex, no-sex etc. Unfortunately this isn't the case.

yeah, I'm aware it's fictional, i'm not an idiot :p

I used the titel of the movie to get people's attention, I never claimed it was fact, I let others draw that conclusion. Basically, I realized that people will see it and go 'wtf? let's check this out' and lead to discussion. Or at least, that's the theory.

Oh, a discrimiflip film?

Useful way to get attention, but something to use with care.

It's like that Twilight Zone ep where the white guy changes into a black guy and he has to take all the heat he used to give to black people. Not very innovative but it's nicely made.

There's also a movie called Watermelon Man that has the same plot. Not sure which came first.

Well made video but it certainly didn't strike the chord with me that it was intended to. So the discrimination was flipped on its head to teach me a "how would you feel if the roles were reversed" lesson, I get it. The suicide of a bullied straight girl is equally as tragic as the that of a bullied lesbian, that was never in question.

A video showing an alternate reality universe where straight people or 'breeders' are reviled (how did the human species propagate before technology permitted in vitro fertilization?) is just a wrong way to go about portraying the plight of the LGBT community. What resonates with me would be something much more sincere and from the heart. For that, look no further than Macklemore's Same Love.
