I checked up on /b/ earlier (I know, I'm a horrible person), and they seem to think they've found her. The girl they found was about 20. I think she's be able to figure out that those puppies are fucking DEAD.

My dads uncle is a farmer in Ireland and he has drowned unwanted puppies before by tying them in a bag and throwing them in the river. I know that sounds horrible and i hardly agree with it but for people like him dogs are simply working animals not pets. However this is different to that. Shes throwing them in one at a time and obviously enjoying it. Thats horrible.

Then your dad's uncle is either an idiot or a sadist. If he thinks that isn't the worst way he can kill them that isn't putting extra effort to make it painful he's an idiot. If he actually chooses to do this despite the fact that shooting them or hell even beating them to death with enough force would probably be less painful then he's a sadist.

It certainly is curious that this story generates such controversy, whilst a similar article involving, say, a homeless man, would barely result in any sort of reaction. Are we all so misanthropic?
Well, in any case, I am, of course, disgusted. Such cruelty (And, yes, arrogant disregard of life) should be met with the harshest penalties.
Shame that, legally, this sort of thing is worth a fine at worst.

Looks like they're starting to identify both her and the brother (cameraman), think they've got a proper pic already (not the initial girl).

It's made some of the news in Croatia and apparently I was wrong, there is a law against it and it's 15k kuna (bit over 2000 euros) or 6 months in prison (wonder if it gets multiplied for 7 puppies...).

The guys in charge of animal protection over there are saying they're taking it seriously, saying such animal cruelty is not really uncommon in the area, but that the cases rarely see the light of day (as people usually aren't stupid enough to film themselves ). Since this case has got public attention, it looks like they're going to go all out on to send a message such behaviour is not acceptable.

The brother already posted on a Croatian forum, which I'd say is a big mistake considering our websites are generally even easier to hack than the foreign ones.

I hope people don't go overboard with it and do something stupid like assaulting the two of them or anyone related. But I'm also holding fingers crossed on her being found, identified and reported to the local authorities so they can fine her (it's not a small amount of money for those people) or lock her stupid ass in jail along with her brother.

It's not hypocrisy. Nobody is saying murder or starving refugees are good things, they are simply so commonplace that they don't elicit the same shock. When somebody see's a puppy getting thrown in a river its shocking because you never see it happen.

That is hypocricy. Actively caring about one and not about the other because it's more common is hypocritical.
