Well that's a lot of backlash for stating something completely unrelated to the actual attack. That poor kitty.

That's like me getting shit for saying Charles Manson made good music... which he totally did. Was he a crazy cult leader who dealt with a huge amount of drugs and instigated the Polanski murders? Sure, but he also almost scored a record deal and wrote a song good enough the Beach Boys nicked it.

This is obviously a joke. Judging from the video that spawned this one it's clear she's just trolling.

The cat suicide watch sequence was actually kind of funny.

So it's just your everyday normal person wanting their 15 minutes of fame? Sure seems like it. No real reason to discuss it apart from being bored.

She's obviously trolling, which makes me think you've obviously got to be trolling as well.

well im not im being super serious here
I would hope not. Tip for the future, though: Sarcasm doesn't translate well through text, or hell just over the Internet in general. If you want the joke to be understood, you're going to have to be about as obvious as the girl in the video. Otherwise, in a situation like this, people are just going to assume you're a bit slow for not realizing the video isn't serious.

Looking at the video I would say that it is a joke of some kind with the whole cat suicide watch thing and with her saying that her pets have "lost all respect for her". Just my two cents.

She's obviously joking. She seems pretty mellow and laid-back to me anyhow.

As for the OP's question, no. No opinion is worth losing your life over, whether it's expressed via YouTube or elsewhere. Now, depending on what opinion it is, you can make the case that it's worth losing your life if you act on it in reality, but simply holding or expressing an opinion or belief? No.

This is what happens when you say bone-headed things.

Should she have been fired? Perhaps not, but it's not to be unexpected. And before anyone says "her freedom of speech was violated" - no, it wasn't. The GOVERNMENT did not fire her. The GOVERNMENT did not imprison her or fine her or punish her. Your first amendment rights applies to what the GOVERNMENT does in regards to your speech, not society. Society has the right to reject you - not harm you, not hurt you, but to tell you exactly how much it disapproves.

She said something monumentally bone headed, and she suffered the societal consequences for saying that. Next time, she should utilize more of her brain and think just a little bit more before speaking.

"i dont think a strip club would even take me in now"

That's the description. Before I even watched the vid I knew it was a gag. How are some of you folk taking this seriously?

The suicide watch sequence should have clued you in if you were slow on the uptake.

Ya, I'd fire her. People seem to forget that they're representative of the companies they work for, no matter the position.

Both of the videos were obviously satire, and anyone who can't see that is Mister thick-thickity-thickface from thicktown, thickainia.
