Ok it was a year and half before Cata came out and we broke up a year after that (sometime last summer) not related to WOW at allFrozenfish said:As in, you were together for the next year till WoWCata came out?artanis_neravar said:No not at all, we were together for about another year after thatSamwise137 said:Please tell me that's not why you two broke up...artanis_neravar said:My ex claimed she was into video games, but it turned out she just meant Guitar Hero and The Sims. lol I was pretty sure that was the case, couldn't resist the comment thoughartanis_neravar said:Ok it was a year and half before Cata came out and we broke up a year after that (sometime last summer) not related to WOW at allFrozenfish said:As in, you were together for the next year till WoWCata came out?artanis_neravar said:No not at all, we were together for about another year after thatSamwise137 said:Please tell me that's not why you two broke up...artanis_neravar said:My ex claimed she was into video games, but it turned out she just meant Guitar Hero and The Sims. Do you have a sister? (joke)Lilani said:I am a girlfriend, and I love games. So does my boyfriend. Any other questions?
I don't play games much when I'm around my girlfriend. I'm pretty busy most of the time so I see her rarely, if she's around I'm more likely to be devoting attention to her rather than a game. She doesn't mind Diablo and Facebook games and she's also played Portal but that's about as far as it goes, we don't game together unless you count sending gift requests in Facebook games, and when together we'd generally both rather watch a movie because it's less interactive.jeff02x2 said:Just thought id ask how guys into gaming or other geeky hobbies, who have girlfriends that are not as geekily inclined lets say, approach gaming with their girlfriend (if at all). This also applies to the rare breed of geeky girls who's boyfriends arn't geeky (im not saying geeky girls are rare, but if you are a geeky girl there are usually hundreds of geeky guys wanting to jump on you!)
Do you only play when your other is not around, do you try to introduce them to gaming, do you force it on them or god forbid do you ignore them for hours on end whilst you have a W.O.W marathon or modern warfare party?
my better half is by no means a fan of gaming but enjoys watching me play games that have interesting gamplay and story (fallout, assasins creed, mafia to name a couple she has enjoyed watching) which makes me a very happy gamer! Also encouraged her to buy her own xbox and she is owning fable at the moment (something sexy about watching a girl who is good at games).
Thought it may be interesting to see what approaches you guys have to gaming with your other half?
Yeah I knew the time wasn't adding up right when I was writing the original postFrozenfish said:lol I was pretty sure that was the case, couldn't resist the comment thoughartanis_neravar said:Ok it was a year and half before Cata came out and we broke up a year after that (sometime last summer) not related to WOW at allFrozenfish said:As in, you were together for the next year till WoWCata came out?artanis_neravar said:No not at all, we were together for about another year after thatSamwise137 said:Please tell me that's not why you two broke up...artanis_neravar said:My ex claimed she was into video games, but it turned out she just meant Guitar Hero and The Sims.
