See how easy that was? By the time I get back to this thread, it'll likely have gotten hundreds, if not thousands of views.

So is that it? Is that the only reason I made it?

No. Not really.

I made this thread to show you, fellow Adscapists, that this is the sort of thing that gets Many Views. Our community cannot seem to see a thread that (subtly or grossly) mentions sex, or that age old yarn about bois and gurls, and not comment on it. It is -EXTREMELY- blatant on the Adscapist, and that makes me sad. There are other things to talk about.

I am aware that the ratio of sex-themed threads is comparatively minor, against the actual, you know, gaming/entertainment industry related threads, but sadly, those "Hey Puberty" threads seem to be where the rage is at. That's where the thousand-count discussions happen, and that is where we pull out the exact same statements, and discussions, every-single-time.

If this community is forward, progressive, and adamantly FOR men, women, boys, and girls, to bond over entertainment related media, and NOT discriminate, or identify one as over the other, than we do NOT need daily threads on sex, women in gaming, women in history, girls, breasts, ect, ect, ect ad infinitum. It shouldnt matter here, because we all think everyone is equal. Right?

PS: Discussing games that have been made is one thing, but that is discussion on the past. An object lesson, sure. But not the opening chapter of a diatribe. In order to move -forward-, you have to at some point, stop concerning yourself with the -past-.

Yeah, no. Talking about the gender divide is not the reason there is a gender divide.

Ignoring it has been tried in the past, and surprisingly didn't make it magically go away.

Uh...yeah, having a hard time believing that you believe that.

I read pretty much every new thread that isn't a spambot, and comment on the few that I actually have something to contribute to. And in this thread, it's that thread views don't mean anything, the post count is a much better measure of how interested posters are in it. That said, I sort of agree that this will get a ridiculous number of posts and devolve into a white knight crusade/men's rights advocacy thread.

Also, I'd sort of disagree that if everyone is equal, you no longer need to talk about it. That's the sort of thing you need to discuss constantly to make sure there isn't any new discrimination cropping up.

And here I thought you were going to rant about people saying "female" instead of girl or woman.
How disappointing.

I thought this was a call for the attention of girls women and females.
So I came in the thread like `What u want`.
Only for you to point out that the Escapist has a Thing with Girls.
Everybody already knows that!
Should it be? No.
Is it? Yes.
Discussion value? Ehhhhh....

You can argue that there are too many threads discussing gender related issues but I'd rather that than they disappear altogether.

Frankly, if more discourse on the subject was akin to what you find on this website the world would be a much better educated place.

i do that, the army made me and it stuck. Better than calling females of all ages "girls", which to me is way more annoying.

I like going to the female threads to see men try to figure out what women want. Especially because it seems like no one went out and talked to women about it and ask them what they think. Watching a bunch of men trying to guess why girls don't play games is funny, not to mention women aren't a hivemind so they have different opinions.

Or if you wanted to ask something of the female posters on here I could answer.
