Make a list of the necesary qualities a girl needs to have and dealbreakers that shouldn't before getting serious and stick to it, you'll save yourself a lot of trouble later even if you dont get as many girlfriends in short term.

Everyone you try and be nice to in high school for the first 3 years? Yeah, don't... They always end up being dicks to you no matter what you do and that chick we like, yeah, if people find out you "like" her they will ask her out for you whether you want them to or not and she will feel uncomfortable around you... Drop the Marketing class it will only ruin your Saturdays and thus concentration on other subjects.
Get Nell Dale's C++ book and use DS Malik's book for anything not in Nell Dale's book, Adam Drozdeks's book is not understandable.
Try to find an Automata book other than Jeff Ullman's and don't but it pirated no matter how expensive the real one is, it is hard enough to read as it is.
Learn Linked Lists and sorting algorithms before starting the Data Structures course.
Do not take two Digital Logic Design projects, they will only waste you time.
If you do take them forget about asking seniors and just ask the teacher's assistant, no matter how much he scolds everyone in the lab he will still help you.
Remember you can only do these things if you drop the useless Marketing elective.
Still, knowing myself I will ignore the main advice in an effort to complete my degree on time.

People *do* talk about you behind your back. You should know that there is a decision to be made, as to whether you want to not suffer this by talking less and not pissing people off by being yourself, or whether you want to show off your real self and make a bunch of enemies because some people are just *assholes,* but they're influential assholes.
