Level 19 Human Cadet

I'm assuming 20 is our max.

Strength (STR): 14 (I am pushing the max score on Air Force PT tests)

Dexterity (DEX): 14 (I'm fairly good at precise work with my hands and such, and I am ranked a Sharpshooter in Olympic Air pistol in addition to being an excellent shot with my 9mm and a decent rifle shot)

Constitution (CON): 13 (I've run 5k in less then twenty five minutes multiple times and I can take a good beating without to much damage)

Intelligence (INT): 12 (Im a physics major in college and not dead yet)

Wisdom (WIS): 12 (I've had to head several groups of peers and younger students for the past few years)

Charima (CHA): 12 (The positions mentioned above brought a lot of it)

Total: 77/120

I'd say I'm pretty well rounded, but always looking to get my stats up!

STR 11 - I'm pretty healthy. I have a consistent and fairly difficult workout routine that I keep to.

DEX 9 - Overly clumsy at times. Nothing detrimental, I just trip, drop, and break things more often than I should.

CON 11 - I have a good enough stamina. I run a lot and can keep my pace for a good while.

INT 11 - Going to school to become an educator. Let's try and increase this. I'm giving myself props though because so far I have no debt and I'm a sophomore.

WIS 10 - I'll just put average for this because wisdom is difficult to quantify. Though a truly wise person would probably
be too humble to actually put high numbers anyway.

CHA 10 - I'm charming to some people. They like my polite, reserved attitude. Around my friends I'm bit more talkative but that's easy. I do have good public speaking skills.

Not bad I suppose.

Hmmm...based on past tests I have taken...

STR 12 (Can carry up to 100 lbs. without much issue)
DEX 14 (30+ years of gaming gives good hand-eye)
CON 8 (Diabetic brought it below average, but can still walk for a while without tiring)
INT 14 (last IQ check was 140+)
WIS 13 (ACT score of 26)
CHA 12 (some internet fame, great with kids, for some reason many animals see me as friendly as well...oh crap, I'm turning into Fluttershy)

CAPTCHA: rain tonight

Actually, yes! Came home and it was thundering!

STR: 11 (I can help you move your furniture/bookshelves if you're moving...)

DEX: 11 (It's more of a +1 in pleasure, I think...)

CON: 13 (This black dude CAN run fast, you know...)

INT: 11 (If my best friend's a 12, that makes me an 11 by default...)

WIS: 12 (I honestly don't use this skill often... But, when I do, no one regrets my leadership...)

CHA: 13 (I'm so fresh, you can suck my [lollipop]!)

Total: 71

Yeah, that sounds about right... To be honest, I usually keep my charisma under ropes, not because I want to... But, because of how my +4 swagger could turn a decent conversation into something "sour" at times... (That +17 haiku sash I obtained not that many years ago does bring some "spice" to some of the conversation options...)

Then again, I am a Level 21 Wizard-In-Training[footnote]if my age equals my overall level...[/footnote], so there's that...

STR: 10 (I'm stronger than I look, but I don't work out. GENETICS WOO)

DEX: 9 (I'm pretty clumsy)

CON: 8

INT: 10 (I'm of average intelligence, although I always struggled with studying.)

WIS: 9

CHA: 9

Yeah, I don't go over 10 apparently. But this might be my crushingly low self-esteem talking.

EDIT: I just took the Swedish Mensa online sample IQ-test and it placed me at 122, which is probably closer to 110 or even lower seeing as it's an online test. That's still a 10 right?

I read 'em. It can be interesting to see how people see themselves. Although it's a bit useless since there's no way to verify anything said here.

If nothing else, it proves the old "above average" rule, as in damn near everybody think they are slightly above average people. Which of course is literally impossible, given the definition of average. Although I've read that it's merely a sign of healthy self esteem.

Unsurprisingly, the Escapist is apparently populated chiefly by supermen and geniuses.

STR: 10 - Perfectly average. I'm not excessively weak, but don't expect me to do any sprinting.

DEX: 12 - I have decent reflexes and flexibility.

CON: 9 - Like STR above, but slightly below average because any overexertion on my part brings on chest pains and wheezing.

INT: 13 - I have been praised for my arguments and ability to form coherent points of view that are my own.

WIS: 12 - I have counselled friends on personal problems and am considered the guy to ask when you need advice on certain things.

CHA: 8 - I have friends, but I detest groups and barely talk in them most of the time. Plus, I don't go out. Ever.

TOTAL: 64

I'd say this allocation seems fair.

1Life0Continues (Lee) - Level 29 Chaotic Good Scholar

Str: 11 - Can lift and hold my 220 pound wife with relative ease. Granted this isn't a dead lift, but I consider it a win.
Dex: 11 - Actually surprisingly flexible and dextrous. Balance needs work, but otherwise I'm pretty good for a fat fu---dude.
Con: 11 - Surprisingly healthy too. Losing excess weight could bring this up to a 13 possibly.
Int: 12 - Eh. Could be much better, but I tend toward excelling in areas of interest and performing incredibly averagely at best or failing miserably at worst in others. My inability to grasp tertiary Intro Philosophy while acing Intro Psychology lends me to this conclusion.
Wis: 13 - I have no real rationale with this stat, except life experiences have led me to making choices that most would consider "wise". Oddly enough, I feel good about this choice.
Cha: 15 - Don't ask me. Apparently I am charismatic as hell, and can very easily coax smiles from people, however it does take a while for the reverse to happen. I have a tendency to make others laugh and feel at ease just through conversation. I'm easy on the eyes (even as a fat dude) so overall I think this might be my best stat.

*shrug* All up for debate, I am sure. But hey, what else is new?

Str: 12 -I don't go to the gym that often but I do 100 push-ups and sit-ups every morning.
Dex: 11 -I'm fairly quick and agile. I have better than average balance.
Con: 8 -On the one hand, I am decently in shape regularly go for runs. On the other hand, I have Addison's disease and if I go too many days without taking my supplemental steroids, I will die.
Int: 12 -Years of studying and my ability to reason in general.
Wis: 13 -Not quite sure how to rate common sense since it just seems, well, common to me... I guess compared to a lot of people I know, I'm well above average. For the leadership aspect, I am successfully completing my teaching degree so I'd say that also puts me well above average in this category.
Cha: 11 -People generally seem to like me. I don't have a huge amount of friends but I can honestly say that I don't know a single person who actually dislikes me. I'm very easy to get along with and very open to other people's views and opinions.

STR- 10 (I do alot of lifting at work but to a certain extent like I need the other guy to help bring the pallet full of chipwood back inside to work cos there is a small ramp up to our store).

DEX- 10 (My hobby is model making and painting).

CON- 9 (I'm not the most healthy person in the world but I am not obese).

WIS- 8 (I view myself to be an average person but my Math kind of suck these days).

CHA- 8 (I'm antisocial but I can get passed enough to talked to the customers without coming off shy).

Honestly I think it should of be out of 10 as I feel I may had overrated myself in certain areas.

Cool. I've always wanted to give myself stats, but wasn't really clear as to how they are scored.

STR: 9 - Although I know I'm not a weak person, I'm definitely not on par with most average guys. I prefer speed and reflexes over sheer brute strength.

DEX: 13 - As mentioned above, speed's my game, and my reflexes and senses are pretty sharp.

CON: 12 - I enjoy running and I've got a pretty good endurance to just about anything.

INT: 12 - I'm a quick study, I enjoy learning, and I can retain a lot of information over time.

WIS: 12 - Though I enjoy being a team player, I never shy away from an opportunity to lead and guide others.

CHA: 11 - I've got a lot of friends and I usually can speak to others with little difficulty or encouragement.

TOTAL: 69

So yeah, I feel like these values define me very well.

STR: 10 - I can run reasonably fast, defeat pickle jars and consistently put in 8 hour labor shifts. Not an athletic type though.

DEX: 11 - Camera operation has lots of tiny adjustments that might have to be done in the dark and quickly. I can do these things with practiced skill. I'm also able to squish and contort myself into various positions for my work when required. It doesn't mean it doesn't hurt after awhile though.

CON: 11 - I'm healthy and fit enough to endure hours of walking/lifting/carrying without breaking down into a pile of moans and groans. I enjoy hikes but I don't do it often enough.

INT: 14 - I read non-fiction in my off time to increase my knowledge of history to help inform my writing and I'm entering my third year of professional training in the film industry. I've also had consistently high marks for quite a while in my education history.

WIS: 11 - I general prefer not to take up a leadership position but I have done it in the past. I'm also frequently asked for advice about life and general.

CHA: 12 - My job in film requires me to 'network' constantly in order to line up my next job. I've also performed in front of crowds throughout my life. I'm not unused to mingling with total strangers although my preference is to limit social experience down to around 5 or so people I know well for me to feel completely at ease. I can survive well enough in 'networking' situations.

Total: 69

Higher than I thought I would score but I can always improve.

STR 9 - A bit scrawny, but I can still help out with some not-too-heavy lifting.

DEX 7 - If I got stabbed and the accused tried to defend with "He fell on the knife!" they might actually be telling the truth!

CON 10 - I'm quite resilient, but could do better.

INT 14 - Mensa membership, and I pick up things extremely quick

WIS 12 - I try to make decisions after thinking, but also have the intuition when a split-second one needs to be made

CHA 12 - I can be damn impressive when I can be arsed to step into the spotlight

Str 13 - I'm a fairly huge hulking dude, but I don't really work out. I think it might be some sort of just unusually high base level strength because of viking genetics. In any case, I'm a good bit stronger than most people around me.

Dex 11-13? - It really kinda depends on the aspects of Dexterity.

Con 10 or 15 - I basically never get sick and I heal oddly fast. But then I'm not in especially great shape...so maybe I just have a high Fortitude? The distinctions between these things in D&D is fuzzier than I'd like.

Int 17-18 - Apparently I'm a genius... Last I checked my IQ tests come out at like 155 or something?
Mind you, IF there were a "Memory" stat, mine would be "Selective". Near perfect recall on stuff that interests me, instant forgetting of things that bore me(which includes horrible amounts of stuff I desperately NEED to remember).

Wis 16 - Seriously, brain power is something I have no shortage of. It's my tendency to apply it to silly things and be totally lazy that puts it to a terrible waste. Also I'm terribly ADD and impatient. I don't know how to translate those to D&D stats. Some sort of giant negative on Will checks?

Cha ??? - I have no idea how to rate myself on this, if I'm honest.
I am, by nature, asocial.
Left to my own devices, I avoid almost everyone. Constantly.
That said, I seem to almost instantly be able to get along with almost anyone in a friendly way if needed...maybe a combo of adjusting well to interacting with people on their wavelength, and responding with laid back ambivalence to even the stupidest crap people say? A lot of people seem to get quite attached to me with little reason, and moreso than I'd prefer. For a long time I'd have people almost PERPETUALLY coming to hang out with me, even when I was actively avoiding giving them any incentives to do so. The only reason that's not still true is because I "fired" almost all of them from my life.
Also, everyone trusts me, though THAT is something I admittedly encourage and never betray.
Going off of my recent Public Speaking class, I've seemingly developed natural public speaking ability over the years (definitely not a skill I used to have, but also nothing I ever put any work into...). I knocked every speech out of the park despite the fact that I was almost entirely winging it on each one, having vaguely "written" each speech about 10 minutes before class (told you I'm lazy).
And on the flip side, despite the vast majority of my closest friends being women, I've only really had one girlfriend...and even that was a complicated situation.
But that might be my fault, since I'm both picky as all hell and horribly oblivious to interested women until loooong after the information would be useful to me.
If you're counting Charisma physically, as D&D does, I'm pretty average. If I were in better than mediocre shape, and not balding, I'd probably be....regal.
And, again, I'm asocial.
I'm deeply fond of humanity as a species but, with the occasional exceptions I'm deeply fond of, I can't stand the individuals humans of which humanity is comprised.

.

My brother is a lot like me, albeit better in some areas and worse in others, and the two of us have been referred to various times by various people as "super humans", I occasionally get compared to/referred to as "Thor", people call me their voice of reason, and my brother's Jewish girlfriend calls us the "German Ubermensch proof-of-concept" (how do you even respond to that?).

I'm a generally gifted human, and I put most of it to a terrible, shameful, waste. <_<

.

As for the seemingly unusual concentration of people rating themselves highly on The Escapist, consider the nature of this website, the audience that it draws, the tendency of similar people to be draw together by shared interests, the more specific sub-interest that is a thread of this type, and then the tendency of people to flaunt their gifts, while others keep quiet or exaggerate.
Basically, nothing about the population of this thread should be expected to be representative of "average" people. Even if everyone in this thread is being totally honest, it will skew high.

STR: 11 - I'm a bit above average in the strength area, but that's it.

DEX: 10 - I'll go with average here because I am very flexible for my size & I can walk through my house without making a sound. I scare people all the time because they never hear me.

CON: 9 - Kinda weak in this area. I hate running, but I can walk for hours no problem.

INT: 12 - Again just above average. I'm smart, but I'm no super genius.

WIS: 9 - I tend to over think things & I'd say that makes some of my choices quite poor ones.

CHA: 12 - I've been told by several people that I can be very charming & I can talk my way out of just about anything.

More than anything I was hoping to see what the people on the escapist thought about themselves not how awesome everyone actually was. I thought phrasing it in terms of a familiar construct with a strict limit for average might bias the populace a bit forwards average. After averaging the stats for 30 people it's still clearly above average but not as high as I thought it would be. Interesting.

You have to remember that the odds are simply stacked against a lot of "below average" people finding their way to this thread.
Sick people busy with medical concerns, dumb people busy with less nerdy things, unwise people too broke or in jail to be surfing the net, etc etc etc etc. Any attribute that hampers someone's ability to have the money/spare time to waste stumbling across this corner of the vast internets...

That's something people regularly glaze over - just the audience inherent to the time, place, way, etc a question is asked, and how that TOTALLY dictates the results.

Let's see, I'm going to try to be as honest as possible here:

STR - 8 - I'm slenderly built and have no real interest in working out, so I'm definitely below average for an adult male here.

DEX - 7 - I have Dyspraxia, so I'm not well-cordinated in the least, and my balance is terrible. I'm quite good at climbing, that's my only strong point here.

CON - 11 - I'm no athlete but I very rarely get ill and I have around average endurance when it comes to physical activities.

INT - 15 - I graduated from one of the top ten ranked universities in my country and my IQ is supposedly top percentage Rattata according to tests I took at school, so I figure I deserve this one :p

WIS - 10 - This was the hardest to answer, since I have a fairly sensible and practical personality, but I'm also inexperienced in many things and my emotional-social age is probably around half my actual chronological age, so in the end I just went for straight average.

CHA - 9 - I'm autistic, so obviously I'm going to lose points here but I'm fairly amiable in person, work okay in a team and older people and kids seem to like me a lot, so for an overall figure I'd say I'm just below average.
