This game really doesn't have the magic that Fallout 3 did, I really can't explain it but the feeling of wonder and dread simultaneously combined is gone.

I loved how New Vegas actually gave you tangible choices, instead of having a completely linear story that only gave you the false pretense of choice.

Yeah, I did not enjoy Fallout 3 very much. It was just muddy and dirty and cheap. It had a few cool concepts (especially for those who've never played Fallout), but overall: Meh.

Fallout: New Vegas, on the other hand, blew my mind.

and with the DLC's coming to playstation network soon, patches for the bugs and glitches coming in thick and fast and people discovering more content in new vegas all the time... it's a great time to be a fallout fan.
You definitely need to get Old World Blues then. Easily the best DLC out of all of them, and as good if not better than Point Lookout (I like OWB better)
Old World Blues was most glorious!

Easily my favorite DLC.
Hes right. Not only was it hilariously dark, the perks were great, you could change your face, the weapons were creative and powerful, and you could go there early in your game. Simply Awesome. Is it just me or are the New Vegas DLCs getting better as they go? Lonesome Road is going to blow our minds! And it comes out this month!

Am I the only person in this world who found Liberty Prime stupid? All he was to me was a Giant robot thrown in for the purposes of sounding more "Anti Commie". He also felt ungraciously over done, just to make the Brotherhood of steel (who I later found out were not heroes, but really a bunch of recluses that had a change of Ideals when they reached the east coast, causing a factional war in them) more "Bad Ass". I dunno, but thats what I seriously think.
No, no you are not.

The entire ending of Fallout 3 was bad.

Bethesda made Fallout 3 with the intention of everything being "cool" and "awesome", and disregarded the political and societal possibilities of the Fallout universe, something New Vegas did quite well.

So far (as I haven't beaten it yet), I like New Vegas. I like the iron sights, honestly, though it sounds kind of stupid to some. And that... is all I have to say about that. Goodbye.

Must admit i wasnt too keen when it first came out, then i went back to it 6 months later and modded the crap out of it. Now, I love it and was playing about 20 minutes ago actually :p

First playthrough: I didn't like it at all, I thought it was shallow and cryptic. And the story mode really confused me. I ended up saving everyone and saving the lives of thousands of wastelanders, but at the end credits, it said I was 'tyrannical....' I hated that the game judged me so wrongly, and harshly. it really put me off playing... Call me petty.

Second playthrough: I was starting to work out the kinks of New Vegas, getting into weapons crafting, taking more of an interest to survival and hardcore mode. And also gaining a better understanding of how the game worked, and what ideals and stance factions take.

Third playthough: The one i'm on now i'm thoroughly enjoying. I am aware of how pretty much everything works. I can now enjoy myself as a lone vigilante purging the wastes. Obviously things still don't turn out the way I want them. For example, the story mission when you need to go to Caesars camp is bugged. And the guards attack me relentlessly even though i'm revered with them. But that was autosave is for.
