Fallout 3. After waiting two months to finally get it, I got bored after a few hours. Started playing it again on Christmas eve and practically haven't stopped since.

I can't recall any positive experiences with going back to games I didn't like the first time. I have picked up KOTOR on four separate occasions and still have not found a good enough reason to play through the game.

I hated Oblivion the first time I tried, I hated it every subsequent time. The one time I stuck with it for 15+ hours, I hated it even more than usual...

I'm actually thinking about giving Dragon Age another chance right now. But it'll have to wait until after I've finished Morrowind and Assassin's Creed II (which I just got!).

Hmmmm, I almost don't want to answer......
I wouldn't say I ended up loving the game in question, but it didn't 'beat', me and I was able to play it. I bought it, played it for a bit and took it back to the store cos I didn't enjoy it. Several months later I wondered if I had given it a fair play and bought it again and was able to play it and had a bit of fun too - Sudeki! :p

Gears of War. I played it Co-op and didn't really get in to it, it wasn't until I went back a played it again that I found out how awesome it was...

The orginal Kingdom Hearts, played it up to Wonderland and though it was shit, then again after seeing a preview on x-play for KH2 thought I'd give KH1 another whirl. Now I absolutly adore it and the series.

Twilight Princess. I admit, I found the graphics goofy and the lancing mini-game frustrated me beyond belief. Then I picked it back up again and burned right through it. :)

Counter Strike: Source.
Ditto. My friend invited me to his house about 4-5 years ago to show me "Counter-strike" and all he did was play surf maps. It bewildered me why anyone would play a game that looks like it was made in a dumpster when you could be playing Battlefield 2. Fast forward to 2009, I tried Source on my friend's steam account and was hooked. I love it. Even the silly mods. They're damn fun.

Victoria: Revolutions, now interestingly my favorite Paradox game. I'd played EU2, but Victoria's daunting learning curve originally put me off.

Oddly enough, Starcraft. The first time i played it as a kid-ish, I hated it, and then when i heard it was good some time later, i was like WHOA.

battlefield 1942, i decided to reinstall in 2008 remembering that it was a fun fps, had more fun playing 3 days of it than 2 months of about 15 games.

Sonic Advance 2 is the only one that comes to mind. The only other game I didn't like that I gave a second chance was Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life. Only I still didn't like it on my second try.

I tried to like the original metal gear solid and hated it (after playing 3, the one where you play as big boss and fight the dude covered in bees). It was dull, trial and error, and overall unintersting and snake didn't know enough to have his codec number be unlisted. And it didn't even make sense. I got about halfway and quite. I tried to come back to it about a year later only to discover that I hated it even more( the fact that bioshock had just come out MIGHT have had something to do with my lack of interest). One game I hated the moment I touched it and later liked was resistance fall of man. The first time I played it i though it was lousy, but later decided it was pretty good.

any jprq.....turns out i cant get enough of them now...should i be worried?
I would be very worried.
i dont mean like final fantasy....i mean the other...4...=(
Final fantasy is ok, just make certain you balance things out with a nice fps, racer, or rts. I had a friend who played jrpg's exclusvely for about 6 months and now his place is full of nurse joy fanart and catgirl pictures. He also responds to all phrases with either "belive it" or "I'm like an empty pit". A chilling cautinary tail.
