I'm almost positive they ironed out most of the glitches. I picked it up yesterday and played 3-4 hours and have yet to encounter a bug. Also, I had to download a patch at the game start up.

Is it just me or is this game full to the brim with funny glitches? I've seen tons of videos of horses getting stuck, cactus growing out of fire, and stage coach tom foolery. Hell in my game one night Mr. Marsten hopped into bed for a well deserved sleep, except by "hopped" i mean glitched and by "into bed" i mean flew 100 feet into the air and wouldn't come back down... nice view though.

Feel free to share your any you've encountered.

Actually a patch is coming out in a few days. So in the mean time, hold you breath I guess....

I have had it the day since it was released and I have not seen any bugs at all.

This, almost!
I've had it since Wednesday night, no bugs or glitches.
Though I did have a patch/update ready for me when I first booted up the game!

The game runs smooth, plays smooth, and is a blast.
I'm sad that in free-roam, so far, every player character I meet has to shoot me for some reason. I'm content with leaving people alone so I can do some hunting, or clear out some gangs, or something. But no. Every person rides out to shoot me in the face.

Oh well! The game is great!

That's because people are b*stards. If anything you could turn it into a evasion sequence, bounty hunter V.S Victim type shabang. Or just stick to SP.

OT: Enough patches should be out by the time I get it, which should be around the end of the month.

Actually, you can only unlock and complete some challenges by killing other players, so it's kinda encouraged. You'll be doing it soon enough, I promise you.

Also, It ads a genuine sense of danger to make up for no real death penalties. It helps immersion when I'm out in open country, picking flowers or whatever, when another player comes into range. I get spooked and suspicious and call out, "Friend or foe?" and go from there.

OT: Hour 4 with nary a glitch in sight on mp free roam. ^_^

I don't think it is, to be honest.

It feels very GTAish, which is no bad thing, it even has the same graphics as it. It just takes forever to get to anything, even fast travel takes forever to do, riding horses gets old really quickly.

I'm thinking of getting it but now that you're all moaning about glitches I'm starting to have second thoughts. So are the glitches really bad and is it worth it despite them is what I want to know.

I've had a mission crippling glitch where it just froze after i excuted a certain somebody. Started the game again and loaded it, retried the mission, all went fine.

Thats the only one i've encounter other than some draw distance glitches

Yes! I played Red Dead Revolver and Gun and I got soooo tired of riding horses that I wrote off being capable of enjoying westerns. Then I hear all of the hype about Redemption and all I can think about is having to ride horses, so I wrote the game off before it came out. I'm also not a GTA4 fan.

I am not against horses, it's the way they have implemented it. You press forward to go forward, if you want to go the fastest you have to tap a button but you can only do it so much or the horse bucks you off.

So your constantly watching this bar go up and down or you can press it once a second (ish) to go at a decent speed without watching the bar. Since it takes about 5 mins to go from town to another it gets very boring and like I said the fast travel option isn't much better.

I have to press start, R1 right, right, x, x, select the place then x again, as opposed to oblivion were you select a place on a map and your there.

i hitched my horse in thieves landing and i kept spazzing around and switching side to side while i was stuck in between the horse and the hitch.

I've played it for many hours and only rarely seen the piano players stand up on their stools when they get up.

That's about it...

Though I have it for the PS3, so it might be different if you're playing on the 360.

ok now this just creepy was reading this while playing game and just witnessed a 2 horse stage coach do a 180 flip in front of me while it was standing still creepy lol

Played for a few hours and only encountered one glitch which is pretty minor.

Me and a friend was doing LAN, on his screen a woman was stood still and on mine she was in the sitting position moving around. Oh noes!
