Recently, I purchased Dragon Age 2 and I heard there's a glitch which allows you to turn in certain quests repeatedly and rapidly to max out your level early on. But, since this has been patched, one must remove game data in order to use this glitch. However, when I tried this, the game refuses to let me load my saves. Is this glitch completely unavailable now?

Whether it's running rampant or under lock and key, you shouldn't even be aware it exists, let alone using it for your own personal gain.

...

Fuck Kirby spammers.

If you REEEEALLY want to level up...play the game. Thats the whole point.

It's not that I want desperately to level up, what I'm interested in is using this glitch in a playthrough to see how things would go if I were massively overleveled. Normally, you won't get higher than lvl 25 in a normal playthrough, even if you grab as many side quests as you can. But this glitch allows you to hit the in-game level cap of 50, and I imagine it'd be rather amusing to cruise through the game being completely untouchable.

All the enemies scale to your level, so you're not going to be untouchable. In fact, it will make the game harder, as enemies scale, but your equipment does not (no new stuff after level 30-ish) and all your stats are capped. All you'd have is Varric's Bianca and a wider-than-usual selection of spells.

Of course if you really have to do that, you could always try using a trainer or a memory or savegame editor.

That's what I'm looking for, that wider selection of spells. With that many levels, I could grab every single talent and get all those passive benefits. And with a high mana pool as a mage I could rain down apocalyptic doom on whole armies of enemies.

As Coldie said, enemies scale to you so you won't feel overpowered.

Plus when you hit "boss" type fights they will be overpowered and your gear won't match your stats and chances are you will have your arse handed to you....

Well, crap. Thanks for taking the wind out of my sails, guys. Guess it's a good thing I can't get that glitch to work after all...

I believe there's now a [em]levels with the character[/em] weapon for just about every play-style. I don't quite remember what DLC it came in though.

The problem with these game editing techniques you offer is that I'm one of those strangely rare people who play this game on a console.
