My parents don't on the account that I live in a village where about 70% of the populace is over 50.

I know that feel bro. But they still tell me to do something else though. I just ask them "Like what then?" and they fall silent. It's not like I already read a lot, spend time on school and all that jazz. But that's not enough for them apparently.

Oh, my folks gave up after they noticed my grades since I got a pc were higher than my grades when I could only read and be outside.

I still like a stroll outside, though, but only if there's snow and I'm barefoot.

OT: I was never really told specifically to 'go play outside' because I was never fat, and that's what you say to fat kids. I did get the occasional 'stop playing that crap and do something productive', 'why don't you go study' and more recently 'stop that nonsense and go get a job'.

My parents don't often tell me to go outside because there are not many kids my age in my village, and those who are aren't really my friends, although they might tell me to get off the computer and do something "constructive". I just leave my computer on to listen to music and then go back on when I'm bored.

Today's different though because it's snowing so they're telling me to make the most of it which is fair enough, so I'm going sledging with some friends later.

Going outside when you live in Glasgow is generally considered a bad idea unless you particularly enjoy being stabbed, bottled, head butted or even just verbally abused and that's just what the girls do to you.Oh yeah and its cold but that the least of your worries.
