God of War III is amazing (No Spoilers)

I just finished it last night and the ending still has me rather dazed.

It's a fantastic game, but not as good as GoW2. The overall pacing just seemed a bit off in 3, considering that the most awesome (and FUCKING awesome they were) moments of the game are the first two boss battles.
I also found the claws of Hades and those other chain claws a bit redundent as weapons. I think they went a little overboard with the diversity of weapons and powers. Most of the time I forgot I had half of them.

All in all, a very fitting ending of the trilogy.

My one complaint though is that I didn't find it that difficult.

The claws are my favorite weapons. To be honest I Feel that they made the Blades a bit lame in this game.

The Claws were pretty cool, but not to dissimilar from the Blades of Chaos, I mean Exile, except for one or two functions. The Cestus on the other hand really felt like a different weapon. Though, watching Hades work those puppies was a sight to behold.

I also felt that they wasted their time on the boots of Hermes, even if it was brutally awesome taking them from him.

Best game I've played in a long while. After the first 10 minutes of the game, I sat quiet and reflected over what I had just done, I realized: IT'S THE GREATEST FIRST 10 MINUTES OF A GAME EVER! Seriously, think about what the hell you do in that game. It's just epic all over. All fights are epic. Love it. Chaos difficulty unlocked btw This will be brilliant.

I actually replayed the beginning just so I could watch it again. I replayed the whole first segment. It is such a great opening.

And some of the finishing moves... the creators really went all out with the detail on those.

Same here. Gonna be a while before I can afford a PS3. Really want to know what happens to old Misery Guts!

The strange thing is, if you said that to his face he'd rip your guts out and make you feel miserable. Or maybe tear you in half. 50/50

I don't think I'd even need to say it to him. He'd just do it to get green orbs.

the Cronos fight left me drained and feeling like I could beat an angry whale while I laughed at what I had just done

Ahh, I called it. I don't have either a PS2/3 or GoW, but I follow it with my friend. We just talked about it today. <spoiler=He had just beaten>another god, and I guessed Hermes. What do you know, I was right. He then proceeded to bring me up to speed on the story, and we debated how the game would end. I guessed Kronos would come up eventually, too

Just beat the game, and I gotta say, I love almost every bit of it.

Spoiler: The only part that wasn't amazing was...

The whole segment where you beat Zeus' face in was just dumb. Right at the end, you go for the climactic finale, and 50% of it is mashing Circle to a blank red screen. Really, really, really dumb. Everything else in the game was fantastic, so I was rather disappointed by that.

PS - I <3 Cestus. I used Blades of Exile against the little quick things and Cestus against everything else. Worked damn well.
