How are they going to handle the cinematic skip though? All of that is happening in-game, and I'm assuming a lot of those cutscenes are used to mask load screens. It'll be interesting to see how that works.

Anyway, the rest seems cool, but I'm not much of a new game+ guy anymore. I also very much enjoy how you're forced to make do with very little at the start of the game. New game+ gets rid of that gradual climb in difficulty and your increase in strength in most games, and I tend to really like that aspect.

I really just want to run through the game as god mode kratos and slaughter everything with ease, but new better equipment could be worth a run on the hardest mode, just for shits. And this comes out just after I start my vacation,.so that works out nicely.

Not looking forward to righting some of those valkyries though.

I?m wondering if being it?s all real time if it even matters, although I do remember literally one instance where the game paused with an actual loading symbol when I was in the realm transfer area and approaching that ledge you drop off of at one point in the story. I don?t recall if it happened during that sequence though.

In any case, I thought the cinematography was without equal because of this ?one cut? technique, so skipping them to me would literally be like hearing a cd skip; yielding largely the same reaction as my favorite team missing a game winning 3 pointer.

As for the leveling, I?m just hoping NG+ is balanced better than the initial playthrough. I understand some enemies are ?purple tough?, but it?s never fun being one-shot by a basic attack that armors through one of your specials. The other thing is, it should level the playing field for enemies based on what gear and level you are currently, so the game remains a consistent challenge throughout. I also really like the idea of save transferring for sequels, where Kratos is able to keep his level and gear pending he?ll even be the main character again. It?s kinda strange and frustrating how game series? have historically ?reset? player progress just because it?s a new adventure.

It might have been understandable in the old games where there weren?t any RPG systems, but now it would just be laughable if they made you constantly have to start from scratch for ?reasons? playing as someone who narratively is already a powerful demigod.
