Im not too worried about the autumn sales.

Its for the christmas sales when you really need to start battening down them hatches.

..And Mass Effect 1/2 for the measly price of $15.00!

Well, there goes $15.00 right off the bat. Now I have both for both Xbox and PC. Just what I wanted..

So is the Christmas sale going to have the same stuff cheaper, or just more stuff on sale? Wasn't paying attention last year.

Nothing too appetizing so far, but I'm keeping my eye on this one. The bowels of Steam still contain many games that I'd be willing to pony up for.

Anyone else experiencing really weird issues? DNF was just a fiver but now its 8 quid. Lots of the games on steam have a weird thing that says uninitialized next to it?
DNF is a fiver for me still. You sure you didn't look at the DNF + Guide pack, which is £8?

depends, but more than likely you will see some stuff on sale again at christmas, but more than likely it will be alot more (the christmas sale is always hugeee, it lasts two weeks if i remember right and the last day of each week they would re offer the best deals of that previous week.)

Christmas sale is normally the biggest, and stuff that's just come out is more likely to go on sale (Skyrim, Saints Row, etc.).

I'm going to wait for Payday to go on a daily deal, if not I'll nab it for a tenner.

Tip for Steam sale newcomers: games that are on sale are likely to go on a bigger deal for a specific day, so wait until then. If not, you can buy it at the normal sale price on the last day of the sale.

Ya im getting that too, Skyrim has unitialized next to it and if you scroll down to about 60 items in the "Specials" it come sup with a 503 error. Rather odd. Probably going to get ME1, ME2 and Duke Nukem, havent played the ME games and I do want to try DN just to be validated in saying its terrible.

First that two weeks of constant hit game releases, now Steam sale. Someone up there must really hate my wallet.

Hopefully I won't buy too much this time...
...yeah, I'm not kidding anyone, I'm going to bankrupt myself.

Umm . . guys? Gals? Skyrim is out. There's no need to buy any more games for the rest of the decade . . unless maybe it's Assassin's Creed.

I have a mac (please don't flame), what games should I pick up?

Is Cave Story worth the $8?
Yes yes yes, a thousand times yes! This is one of my favorite action platformer type games, has a fantastic soundtrack, great level design, and is just plain fun! If you like games like Mega Man, Knytt Stories or Untitled Story, this is pretty much a must-have.

Myself, I'll probably be getting the oddbox and the third season of Sam and Max. I have one of the oddworld games, but it's cheaper to get all four :p

Dungeons - The Dark Lord, steam special edition $14.
I liked DungeonKeeper, and the demo of Dungeons got me liking this game. Sale? Sold!
