Thats what its called! I remember my dad watching that all the time, but I could never remember what it was called. I was too young to appreciate it then, but I'm gonna check it out now, just on the basis that my father loved the show.

Yep. Mystery Science Theater 3000, greatest show ever to grace the airwaves. I recommend trying "Werewolf" or "Space Mutiny" as your first episode, they're two of the best.
The guys who originally made it also have Rifftrax http://www.rifftrax.com/ and Cinematic Titanic http://www.cinematictitanic.com/ which are very similar in concept. Which of those you'd like better largely comes down to which of the two MST3K hosts you preferred. Joel, the original host (who does Cinematic Titanic) or Mike who I think has better comedic delivery/timing. (Rifftrax)

PS- "The Horror of Party Beach" would be another great episode to try.

Welp, looks like it's time to get disappointed like it's 1998!
Seriously, what is Toho doing? This looks just awful, his head is flat and he's got dumb ass yellow lizard eyes. I really hope he looks better on screen then this toy does, the king of monsters deserves better then this.
