This is a question to any Escapists old enough to have this happen. What age roughly did you start to get grey hair? I've just recently started going grey, and I was curious. (FYI I'm 27)

Also, what are you thoughts on going grey? I know people who started to really stress out when the first grey hairs appeared, started dyeing their hair, and generally made like it wasn't happening. Me, I don't care...in fact I kinda like the way it makes me look.

When I was 12, some of my hair began to half-grey. Thankfully it's stopped now.

Since I was fifteen. At this point my hair would look like Rogues', but the streak is in the wrong place. Damn it.

I'm not certain. Thirty and my HAIR isn't, but it seems like my beard has either had a few or just taking from the light-brown/blonde of my mustashe. I'll let you know in a few years.

My husband has had at least the beginnings of the Reed Richards and/or Nick Fury look going on since he was...well, no older than twenty, anyway.

I started noticing the hair color change in my late 20s. It's not too bad on my head.....mostly on the temples. However, I have lots of grey on my face. Especially the chin. Luckily, none of it bothers me so I don't feel the need to color it.

I was in my late 20's when the first grey hairs appeared. I'm now in my mid-late thirties, and I'm borderline salt and pepper.

I'm not over the moon about it, but it's waaaaaaay down on my list of priority things to worry about.

21 and haven't had a grey hair yet anywhere on my body. My little brother has though, and he's only 16. I make fun of him for it.

I'm 29, and I started going grey around 16. Mostly on the sides/temples and a little where I part my hair on the side. I think it's starting to get noticeable when I don't color my hair.

I wouldn't mind too much, but I am aware that people don't look as kindly upon grey hair on women than on men. That plus the fact that grey hair has a different texture, but I'm really interested in growing my hair long now and dying it can be damaging. Aside from that, I look a bit younger than my age, so I'm not too worried about looking old or anything.

Both of my parents have grey hair and premature grey runs in my family. I heard my grandfather and his twin brother were totally grey by 20.

Actually, mine did too, just around my temples, but now it's stopped, and became very light brown.

I got my first grey hair when I was 15 years old...

Though luckily it was an anomaly, still, I don't really care if I go grey, mind you when it comes to hair I don't care.

I'm 23 and no grey yet. I first started noticing it in my mom when she was 30, give or take a year or two, and I think it started for my dad at about the same time (they're the same age).

What the hell? I thought gray hair was for old people. How are all you youngsters going gray? I'm 25 and don't expect grayness anytime soon, considering all sings point to having inherited my fathers genes for hair and he didn't get his first gray hair until 58. Hell, even if I got my mothers genes for hair colour, she started going gray around 50 as well. And no baldness on either side of the family. Aw, yeah!

Shame all my other genes are crap.

I'm 20 and I haven't, and considering my dad started going grey in his mid 40s I think I'll be able to stave it off for a while.

Lucky me I guess.

Personally I wouldn't mind going grey, at least compared to going bald. Not that I'm saying bald is bad; if you can pull it off you reach an insane level of badassness.

Luckily my hair hasn't really started going grey, but I did get one once and I was kinda upset about it. My family has a tendency to go grey early, so I'm sure mine will really start soon. I'm 22 by the way.

2 days before my 17th birthday I noticed that my moustache had a few grey hairs in it.

Since then the grey hair has been radiating outward, and is currently battling it out with the ever growing ginger streaks that are in my blonde beard...

I currently don't look old enough to be able to pull off grey hair (That and I don't think anyone can pull off a blonde/brunette/ginger/grey mixed beard...) so after noticing I just started to shave more regularly so it's not as noticable. Every now and then I let it grow just enough to see the latest update on the colouration...

Thankfully my actual hair is staying blonde for now.
