A few years ago I used to be fine with 3-4 hours sleep a night cos I just found sleep boring. Nowadays I need at least 6 hours sleep otherwise I feel less than great. It's weird, I'm only 19. I guess I just enjoy sleep more now maybe

i stayed up 36 hours yesterday to adjust my sleep schedule.

my record is about 48 hours. that wasn't actually intentional though, my insomnia just got really bad for a while.

Five days six hours...

I won the bet and slept for a day and a half.

The spiders coming out of the walls was the wierdest part.

After looking at the clock and realiseing I've been up for 27 hours, the longest I've been, I became curious about how long people here have gone without sleep.
I was often going 3 days in a row, then sleep 10 hours, then 3 days, etc.. in loop, when I was younger, but now it's just 48h, I'm getting old lol.

However it doesn't help being a night person:

The most visible side-effects are the poached black eyes that makes me look like I got punched :/

Also, I feel I'm thunking clearer right now than usual, so, put what effects has this extended waking period had on you.

Edit:Yeah, and It's 11am now, but I have to stay up until at least 9:30pm. Great.
Yeah, don't feel to bad, I think I got to damn near 42 hours... without cocaine. Insomnia sucks a big one.

Actually imho it's useful once you're used to it, you've got extra time to get more things done :)
I'm used to it and if I try anything that is important, it usually doesn't work out well. I.E math homework.

Just sleep for an hour or so when you can spare the time, and it'll give you a much-needed boost.

I stayed up for about two and a half days (maybe a little less) and near the end of it, I started seeing distortions out my peripheral, so I had to go for a walk. Got some pizza. It wasn't very good. Went to EB, didn't find anything. Went home and stayed up for a few more hours before crumpling into a heap on my bed.

Just remember: when you finally do sleep, you're gonna sleep long enough to make up for what you missed!

I worked all weekend, finally fell asleep around 1am, woke back up at 3 and was wide awake 'til 6, then my sister started texting me at 7:30 for some bullshit "life or death" matter about getting this guy's phone number for some computer place that couldn't seem the wait 'til they (her and my mom) go home... so... had to search my entire house for the business card that had the number, and now, I can't fall back asleep and I'm really pissed off and cranky... so... guess lack of sleep does have an effect on me...

My current record is around 50 hours or so.

Side-effects of sleep deprivation include:

- Inability to get bored
- Inability to enjoy anything
- Girls who were already attractive now seem moreso
- No change to memory or behaviour
- Slightest desire to go home to bed
- Cold weather temperature causes slight soporific effects
- Eyesight slightly sharper
- Much less abrasive to deal with
- Sarcasm and dodgy comments slightly dulled down
- Slightly more open with others
