Most likely Activision found a way around it if this is to be believed. Nintendo only refused when the game was going to be on a competing system (they do own some rights to the Goldeneye name, after all). A Nintendo-exclusive Goldeneye would appease them, and if it's a remake, it means they won't have to get permission from Rare or Microsoft. If Activision could've made it a multiplatform game, they would've done so without giving it a second thought.Adzma said:

Only now do I regret not buying a Wii. Oh well, I hope they don't tarnish the memories of the original game with a botched remake.
I remain unconvinced by these "anonymous tips" until next week, when E3 will reveal all.

I don't see the interest here. Goldeneye was amazing, in 1997. Being coupled with the nifty Bond movies at the time, plus the fact that it was virtually the only interesting FPS at the time.. well you get my point.

The one thing I don't like about Goldeneye on the N64 is the 4 player limit. Sometimes the area just seems so big and there is not enough going on. That's why I wanted to see a online port. Bumping up the limit to 8 or more would have been great, but the Wii's online. Ehh.Miumaru said:
