Of course Naruto will end badly. It hasn't been good for ages.
Are you kidding? That last battle with Pain was amazing. Or are you still stuck on the English dub? While I feel the English dub is better for FMA, the Japanse dub with English sub is better for Naruto, and they are much further along.
That fight ended horribly. Naruto just talks to the guy and he resurrects everything then kills himself. Both anti-climactic and an ass-pull.
The fight was already over at that point. Naruto beat him physically first, then he had to beat him ideologically. Did you not notice that fight was more about differing philosophies than simply "first one to destroy the other's village wins"?

Akira, mainly because as much as I love the story I still get lost as to how/what the hell happened and if Akira was "alive" or not...

Pilot Candidate. I know I've seen more, but, I can't remember them because I tend to forget about things that suck.

Big O. It started out pretty good: noir style Batman meets Gundam. Then it fucked everything up in the second season. The ending just rewound to the beginning! Seriously, WT fuck?!

Gurren Lagann. The final battle was insanely climactic, and everything was going fine up until a couple of minutes afterward.
So Nia dissolves at her and Simon's wedding, pretty sad, though the explanation seems a little questionable: She's a part of the Anti-Spiral, and can't survive without it; but she's the daughter of the Spiral King, so shouldn't she just be completely in control of herself? I don't really understand the situation in the first place though, so whatever.

It really gets bad when Simon gives up all responsibility because "the younger generation needs to take his place" Why? He saved the entire population of Earth from death and the entire friggin' universe from tyranny, and he's only like, 21. Why can't he have something to do? Instead he walks off and never sees his friends again. They're mostly as old as or older than he is, but they get to be intergalactic ambassadors and such. Meanwhile, our hero just sort of wanders around aimlessly. It's bullshit.

School days is my favorite series. The ending killed off Makoto and Sekai though sure it was awesome and my favorite character lived...But it was a bit of a twist unless you played the multiple ending game and knew there could be a "bad end".

it was pretty great for the first 46 episodes (not perfect, but overall pretty good)
and then the last 4 eps managed to not only make me hate almost the entire cast (main characters first and foremost)
not only rushed the plot while at the same time introduced too many needless elements.
not only brought back to life too many characters.
but simply made NO sense at all from a story telling point of view

it was an ending that felt like the writers just went "we don't want a traditional gundam-esk ending with all the good guys joining forces against a common evil, so instead lets completely fuck up the plot, form alliances that make no sense, derail half the cast, and just generally throw any pretense of logic out the window for the sake of being different"

a total cluster fuck, and a complete train wreck top to bottom
Agreed, like the Black Knights would ACTUALLY trust the very evil looking nutjob with the unstoppable weapon of mass destruction and not question why he had a evil floating fortress of death on hand for seemingly no reason whatsoever. At the very least they could expended the aftermath segment to a full episode rather than the 15 second montage we got. I also still refuse to belive that Kagura or Nunnally would betray Lelouch just because someone said he was evil.

Bobobo-Bo Bo-Bobobo: It was a cliff-hanger! Yeah I know I bring this up in alot of anime-type threads but I'm serious--It was a great anime and it was so awesome/random/churro-filled, I still don't know why they had to cancel it! As I've said before if it was THAT violent, put the fucker on Adult Swim! Otherwise bring it BAAAAAAAACK! The ending was lame and left me wanting 10x more!

Being born of the spiral king was only a coincedence, the Anti-spirals have there genes inplanted in one person of each generation (I think) so it was very unlikely that such a history with the spirals would occure, but it did.

And Simon was never meant for any of that political crap, he was a digger and a warrior so it makes sense once all the fighting and digging comes to an end that he would quit.

Get it now?

The ending was way bittersweet, but made sense, I think. Simon wasn't anything else but a warrior/hero at the end of the anime, and there's something heroic about riding into the sunset. The thing was, there wasn't much else for him to do. After the ultimate peace, what do you do with the soldier?

I think if the Spiral Nemesis could be defeated in giant robot combat, Simon would come out of retirement. It's really all he's good for.

(edit) Shite, beat to the punch by a sharper fist. >.>

No one has mentioned Air yet! Great anime adaptation of a Key graphic novel, but the ending was just pathetic.
Basically, the protagonist gets turned into a crow and is sent back in time to prevent his girlfriend's death. He occasionally sees things from a different perspective, but most times he's essentially sitting on his past human self's shoulder.
What could have been an interesting climax/resolution is just a horrid series recap and "ending".

All of them, cause they end and leave me feeling sad.
Though Nabari no Ou bothered me cause it was very depressing.

G-Gundam. A great anime, but the final episode gives new definition to the word "Cheesy".

Also,

Why the FUCK does Domon get together with Rain? Anyone with half a brain can see that Allenby is not only the more credible character, but that those two would be perfect for each other! Seriously, I have nothing against Rain, but Allenby is not only hotter, but a perfect match for Domon! Plus, I'm sure she wouldn't shoot a heart shaped laser beam. WTF.

Hmm, making me think on this one, evil!
.>

I be too lazy to see if things are already mentioned. =3
Lets see..
Death Note: The ending was quite the let down.

Clannad: It pulled a massive cop-out in my opinion..

Kiki's Delivery Service: It just left me thinking "It's over? But the story was just starting!!! >.<!"

Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru: Was way too open ended, it needed a second season.

Star Ocean EX: Where is my second season that covers the second disc damnit!!! >.<

Fargo is gonna kill me for this, but I will also mention Elfen Lied, was left too open ended. =(
Sorry Fargo! ^^
