Good DS RPGs.

I have about 38 dollars sitting around and am about to go on a long trip. So I was thinking: Get an RPG.
So, what should I get? Now, I have TWEWY and Pokemon HG and D.
I'm really looking at Dragon Quest IX. Is that a good idea?
EDIT: I have both LoZ games for the console.

I read that Studio Ghibli is coming out with an RPG for the DS, but I don't know the release date, it might come out too late. If you're just looking for a long DS game though either of the Zelda games on the system would be a good bet.

The Etrian Odyssey games are some of my favorites on the system. Pretty brutal stuff though, not for everyone.

A Shin Megami Tensei game would be good, and Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon is a great Strategty/RPG game.

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor
It's my favorite ds game. It is a strategy rpg though, so don't get it if you aren't into that.

I would recommend Disgaea DS.

I've been playing for 12 hours and I'm still working on the main story, and the real game(maximizing characters and equipment) doesn't start until you've beaten the final boss.
