I've been in an electronic mood lately when it comes to music. I've been looking for new kinds electronica and techno music, but I haven't been finding anything good lately. What do the people here at the Escapist like? Any recommendations?

Airbase is my favorite electronic band/group.
then I'd recommend pandora with front line assembly.
But you can find loads on Imeem.
I have this playlist with 81 "trance around the world" shows on it. (thats 162 hours of music)
here:

Id also like to recommend:
the prodigy
tiesto
the crystal method
BT
the overseer (um, from nfs underground 1)
asian dub foundation

Totally forgot about this band since I lost their album, was very surprised when it popped back up in that new ACII trailer. :p

Check out the bloody beetroots, benny benassi, dead mouse, mastrkraft, just to name some.

EDIT: I put these because I figured everyone else would name drop a bunch of euro-trance fags. Look up the track warp 1.9 by the bloody beetroots. I promise you won't be dissapointed

I could really go on a tangent recommending a ton of genres, but chances are you won't like most of them... So lets try this; name a "mood" and a bpm range(speed), and I'll recommend you a genre.

For example:

Very Fast + Goofy= happy hardcore.
I have to agree with Bacon here. There is simply too broad a range you want us to cover. Narrow it down a bit and then we can help.

I, myself, am a trance fanatic. However it would seem that like minded people fall few and far between.

Yay, my first ever youtube link...

Just wanted to remind people of the joy that was Bentley Rhythm Ace, there was something just delightfully silly and fun and just..happy about everything they did.

Also thoroughly recommend the Chemical Brothers, Orbital, the Orb, Leftfield, Crystal Method, the Prodigy, and the Propellerheads among many more that aren't jumping immediately to mind.

I will link the Chemical Brother's Star guitar however, just to see if anyone who doesn't know it, can spot the 'special' thing about the video, you might need to set it to HD tho.

Hell, if there's a genre that's inspired some great music videos its electronica, and I'm normally a metal fan, but the Chemical Brother's stuff especially is amazing, and they generally get top rank directors and movie makers in to create something really special.

I don't like most of the electronic/Techno music.
That said i heard about this radio channel that plays only Techno and stuff. Gonna ask my m8 when he's online.

I would recommend you something, but I'm too into Gabber and hardcore from Japan to believe I'll have anything you'll like.

But I will anyway:

REDALiCE has some good rave/happy hardcore songs. His Crimson Hardcore album is amazing, though his vocal samples are laughable in some songs.

DJ Cotts is my favorite DJ, his 20-Minute quickmix is amazing and you can view it on Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwNUDdkPoto&feature=channel

That's about all I can think of for now.

Try the postal service, not sure if they count as eletro but some of their songs certainly are.
