i recently got fallout new vegas and fallout 3 75% $10 for new vegas and $5 fallout 3 with all dlc include

i played new vegas so far
and it crashed with in a few hours of gameplay
wonderful
then i made this thread shortly after

and i will try fallout 3 later

i know go to the nexus and look at the top mods
and look for a unofficial patch if one exists
which am doing for new vegas
but still say some good mods anyway because i am bound to miss some

edit: i don't think new vegas has a unofficial patch or maybe i am not looking hard enough
edit never mind i think i found a unofficial patch like mod

Sorry, I'm a bit confused but what is the purpose of this thread?

Are you looking for mods? Fixes for the crashes? Character names? All of the above?

This is quite a good re-balance mod, as well as adding traits and perks from the original Fallout and FO 2 as well as new ones. Combined with Project Nevada it is the BEST way to play the game.

Three for New Vegas.

New Vegas Bounties 1 and 2 are great little quest mods that go all across the Mojave.

Second is A World of Pain. Around a hundred new high level dungeon areas scattered through the map with no markers, so you have to search for them.

Going to have to second this guy on these.

New Vegas Bounties are quite possibly the 2 best quest mods i've seen.

The fella that made them put in some decent work and it has a good story to it that fits in with the New Vegas feel.

Just look up a youtuber named Alchestbreach. He's done almost every Fallout NV mod, and is getting started on FO3. He's also really funny.

Wasteland Defense:
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/38049/
Allows you to construct a fortress anywhere in the Wasteland, hire guards to patrol it and defend against raids. With the loot you gain from raiders, you can hire more proficient guards, build robots or trade it in for caps.

Zombie Apocalypse:
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/37067
Adds literally thousands of zombies to every corner of the Wasteland.
Endless fun and highly customizable.

For Fallout 3:

Fallout Wanderer's edition
Mart's Mutant Mod
Rain and Snow
Weapon Mod Kits
FOIP (so they work together)
DelayDLC (so you don't get pop-up messages spammed at you at the start, really immersion breakng)
---

With the caveat that... while being the best mods for Fallout 3, the top 3 add unremovable "settings" items to your inventory, which I really don't like. But if you don't mind, they are amazing.

New Vegas:

Project Nevada
---
Really that's all you need. I find after re-balancing combat and adding some shiny new things, New Vegas is fun normally.

I used that for awhile, and while it worked, I loved it, but it makes my game crash like a mother fucker.

The very first mod you should download for FO3 is the Games for Windows Live Disabler [http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/1086/].

THE essential FO3 mod.

Essentially all it does is remove the GFWL button on the menu since you never have to actually use GFWL. And... I think the FOMM does that itself? One of my mods does. So not really that important.

I'll agree with Project Nevada and New Vegas Bounties. Project Nevada is fantastic with it's tweaks - hardcore mode gets a lot better with it. I would personally recommend disabling Cyberware though. While it's neat in concept, I found myself wishing to go back to the old style relatively quickly. Most of the stuff added is pretty balanced.

New Vegas Bounties is a lot of fun as well and it's fun to see the (fully-voiced) villians that they came up with. Some balance issues with the rewards, but you can always neglect to use them if you'd like.
