I need to find a decent file converter which can convert MPEG4, MP3, and WMA file but I can't find any that aren't a trial version or ones you have to buy. Can anyone suggest any that are free and easy to get?

Need more info:
What are you converting from and what do you want to convert it to?
Is it for converting files to use on your PC? Or onto a console?

Seriously, try format factory. I was having an huge pain in the arse with HD files, but this solved everything. It handles just about everything.

If your computer is having trouble reading different media formats, download the Klite Codec Pack.

You'll be able to play almost anything without a hitch.

My current, and favorite, is "Any Video Converter". Despite the name it does everything I need it to do.

I hear great things about VirtualDub. I've used it a handful of times myself and it isn't bad.

If you just want to do audio, I'd try Audacity. It's brilliant.

There's just no helping some people...
I see people have made sensible suggestions regarding various conversion software for both audio/video so I'll bow out.

Get Format factory it converts any type of file to any other type of file plus you can convert it the files into different levels of quality and it runs in the background.
