Yes it is similar to my 'Bad Movie Ideas' thread but here we discus otherwise amazing Shows/Movies that died a horrible squelchy death.

I'd like to start with 'Hancock' which, at about an hour in started de-grading in the aforementioned squelchy manner and didn't fit in with the rest of film.

Show your work people!!

while not a terrible ending, i didn't like how No Country for Old Men left it sort of open like that.. If it works then sure it's okay, but in this case it felt kind of unresolved.

I will definately agree with no country for old men, I didn't even know what had just happened when the credits started rolling.

^ It was a rather anti-climatic ending I suppose.

The X-Files started off great, got better, then after a few seasons started to disappear up it's own arse. By the end I had just stopped caring about any of it.

Nah, but it's probably worth a watch if you get the chance.
The end of the Italian Job made me want to cry at the time, not to the extent that it ruins the film though.

Not sure if I liked the ending of Fight Club. I think it ended too abruptly for my liking. Still one of my favourite movies though.

I dont like the ending of the haunting because there are actually survivors from that evil house. And also Owen wilson died on that film, I mean why?! He's the funny dude.
Funny dude should never die!

I'd recommend the book, it has a much more satisfying ending. Though I guess that's no so unusual in film adaptations of novels.

The Simpsons. I love the show, but the recent episodes and the movie don't hold a candle to older series.
Event Horizon didn't have a very nice ending.. neither did In Bruges.
Star Wars.

No Country For Old Men made some serious plotting mistakes at the end. I also hate the ending for the original Dawn of the Dead, anyone who has seen it knows why, sudden random hero moment when the ending should be dark and depressing.

The Untouchables was an awesome movie right up until the end at the courthouse.

Collateral was also similar; most of the movie was interesting, exciting, and captivating, then it spiraled into cliches and frustration. The movie fell apart and threw away everything it could have been.
