As an avid Stargate SG-1 fanatic from the start, I found the 2-hour TV movie ending a bit, meh. It felt forced, the same goes for that other TV movie they did.

This past season of Law & Order: Criminal Intent when Chris Noth left the show (ya not technically the END of the show but still pissed me off). I'm mean come on, one of the most dramatic and intense episodes ever and they end it by having Noth getting pussywhipped by a preist basically saying "God says you should quit the force!" Noth walks out the door, cut to black. One of the oldest Characters on the show and they let him just fizzle out into nothingness.

Pathetic.

Or how about the Roseane finale? Oh, hey guys, just wanted to let you know that most of the stuff you've seen up to this point was really nothing but the rantings of an obesse, poor, lying widow.

In the realistic markets how about the old Robot and Junkyard Wars? Freakin' AWESOME shows with fun, cool premises turned to crap. 1-1 robot fights that required percision handling and excellent strategy to 20,000 bot clusterfucks. People turning bathtubs into helicopters to everyone just so hwppening to find "convieniently" nearly perfectly preserved airplane fuselages and jetskis.

Biggest dissapointment in a movie ending? The DaVinci Code, not even gonna go there, anyone who's read the book knows what I mean. Hollywood, are you listening? STOP MAKING CRAP MOVIES AND TV SHOWS!!! THE PUBLIC HAS HAD IT WITH YOUR EASY-TO-DIGEST, PALLATIBLE, STEREOTYPICAL B.S.!!!

Damn Hancock and No Country For Old Men have been covered...

I didn't like the ending to Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King. If anybody has seen Clerks 2, Randal's rant about it pretty much sums up my feelings. They dragged it out for far too long and provided about 5 different points where you thought the film was ending, but then they show you another long unnecessary scene. Kinda spoiled what was otherwise a masterpiece of a film for me.

Futurama ending annoyed me, but it went out on a sweet note. The first feature length episode was pretty good, and built on the relationship between Fry and Leela more. The second one though? Sheesh. No idea why they decided to abandon that dynamic, but still. Bit and bobs were amusing enough, but the whole premise seemed to be going nowhere for a while.

Darn...I still remember "The Inside." Good shite. It was kind of wacky at first to see a pretty girl actually just acting and not showing a lot of skin. She didn't even show cleavage! and then there was Kathy Finneran. That woman can do no wrong in my eyes(she was also in Wonderfalls!).

I just remembered "Day Break". I really liked that show and ABC only aired six of the thirteen episodes filmed. While it wasn't the greatest show on at the time, I liked it a lot better than most.

No Country For Old Men made some serious plotting mistakes at the end.
From what I've read the Coen brothers tried to make it some postmodern examination of film watching and the 'mistakes' are intended. The hero getting killed off-screen is supposed to represent the absolute futility of the world and the irrelevancy of hope in the face of sufficient violence. The movie's basically a 1 1/2 hour setup so they can sucker-punch you with nihilism.
The critics ate it up anyway.

The ending to Firefly. Why you ask? Because it never should have ended!
What Joss Weadon did to deserve getting treated like that. I mean, it wasn't like no-one had heard of him. He'd only just made the greatest single teen-drama of all time. I defy anyone to say otherwise.

Otherwise.

The greatest 'teen drama' is season 4 of The Wire.

while not a terrible ending, i didn't like how No Country for Old Men left it sort of open like that.. If it works then sure it's okay, but in this case it felt kind of unresolved.
but thats the point, it tries to leave no closure or no hero of the movie that is somehow invincible and can escape a trained killer (although the hero was in the military), in the end the hero dies. it tries to reflect real life in the fact that there wouldn't be any closure.

also worst movie ending is the zodiac (i know its based on real events) but it builds up the entire film then ends with the screen throwing words at you.... no closure... XD

How else could you end Zodiac? They never caught him in real life, how should the film be different?

not trying to sound like an ass.

I thought that the entire season of Californication was great, but the ending was a bit of a dissapointment for me.
