I watched Project Almanac recently. It's time travel Sci-Fi, not horror. It's an OK movie as long as you don't think, at all, about the time travel mechanics.
It's a typical "nerd makes awesome thing and is awkward around, but still gets the girl" film directed by Michael Bay, so take from that what you will.

I'm suprised no-ones mentioned it, and it isnt a horror movie but End of Watch is a great cop movie done in found footage style with a few cheats here and there but it's definitel yone of my favourite movies.
Good catch! I forgot I watched that movie. It's not horror (obviously) but it's thoroughly enjoyable nonetheless.

VHS?
I thought it was alright, it's like lots of short stories all thrown together in one film.

Cannibal Holocaust.

A lot of people seem to rag on it, but I always thought it was a pretty good film. Very dark and filthy, but you kinda get that with found footage horror anyway. I never saw the sequel, so I can't tell you what that's like, but the original Cannibal Holocaust? I liked it.
the sequel doesnt have anything to do with the original. Cannibal holocaust officially dont have sequels

Oh, I see. Must have been mistaken then. At any rate, I've actually been told that Cannibal Felix is even better than Holocaust, but I wouldn't know as I haven't seen it. Have you?

I thought both V.H.S and V.H.S.2 were pretty fun, using found footage sometimes in more creative ways. The zombie story in the second one actually nicked me in the feels a little.

Chronicle (not horror but it's the best found footage movie I've seen):

I'll second chronicle, if it counts. they do technically use cheats in the story to justify breaking the found footage illusion, such as two people with cameras, and the characters using their powers to hold the cameras steady, but I'm willing to suspend a little disbelief if it means I can watch the movie without getting vertigo. XD
So much this. There were cheats for story reasons but you can forgive it. It's a great ride if you haven't seen it before and some of the photography is pretty damn interesting.

Oh that one was pretty good, but oddly enough I have no urge to rewatch it, like some of the recent gems like Borderlands and Welcome to the Jungle.

Holocaust was good, but really squicky in parts.

Ferox was meh. Very meh. Ultra squicky (that bit with the hooks...blargh) but no interesting story to go with it.

Just watched The Pyramid. Terrible. About halfway through it forgets it's found footage completely.
