Good gamecube/ virtual console games?

I just scraped together the money for a wii (save the warnings) and I plan to use it largely for the gamecube compatibility and classic downloads. Any good action/ rpg/ stealth/ sandbox or platformer (gross listing abuse) games that jump to mind?

Eternal Darkness will creep you out... game pretends to break, screen will go black, memory error will pop on your screen to freak you out as your character goes crazy really fun game
Sonic Adventure games ( 2 was the best)
Pac-Man Versus, imagine you are pacman and your friends are ghosts trying to eat you.. fun 4 player game
Super Monkey Ball 2, great mini games fun marble madness single player game
Any metroid on the gamecube
There a start definetly try to find eternal darkness game is amazingly unique and like a good resident evil game.

Resident Evil 4!!! Sorry I just like it a lot. And metroid prime was great too. Beyond that I sank many hours into Tales of Symphonia (which I have recollection buying, it just appeared on my shelf, I think one of my housemates must have bought it), that was a good RPG (sort of).

The Simpsons Hit & Run is a great sandbox game if you are a fan

Legend of Zelda: Windwaker. Its great to just sail across the world alot after beating most of the game and finding stuff.

Also, Custom Robo, thats a good fighitng game. fun too.

EDIT: Battalion Wars was pretty good too.

Paper Mario and Mario RPG are both on Virtual Console and are great.
Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes and X-men Legends are both great if you didn't play them on another system already.
Starfox 64 is up for download.
The Metroid Prime games are great and Super Metroid is also fun.
There are probably a lot of other fun ones I'm not thinking of.

Mario Kart double dash, and Kirby Air ride are pretty awesome.

Paper Mario is fun as monkey barrels.

Pac-Man World 2 is a hard ass platformer.
