Thief: The Dark Project, Sniper Elite maybe and you can also get the original elder scrolls Arena off www.elderscrolls.com for free, you will have to run it in dosbox though.

Thief 2, Deus Ex, Red Faction are the most obvious ones I can think of, I used to run them with no probs on a 64mb GeForce 4, but if you're talking older than that, any Command & Conquer before RA2 should fit the bill
Red faction? Thats a bit over the limit eh?

My desktop is on the lou and MW2 just around the corner (yes, I cry myself to sleep every day now).

Until, I make do with an 6-8 year old laptop with Pentium 3. Runs Fallout 1-2 like a charm. Duke Nukem 3D are nice too. And Half-Life. And Rymdjakten (Spacehunt).

Are you getting mixed up with Red Faction:Guerilla? The original was early 2000's, maybe 2001?
No. Im not getting it mixed up. I own Red Faction 2 and guerilla and have played red faction 1 plenty. But this is for a net book, not a regular laptop.

Let's see...I'd go with any of the LucasArts adventure titles as well as anything from the X-Wing/TIE Fighter series. I'd also suggest the Myst games, Mafia, and Tron 2.0 if your comp can handle the highest graphical settings (which makes the game look so pretty)

Age of Mythology and Morrowind. Oh and if you haven't tried it Starcraft just so you can see what all the hype is about.

Why is Starcraft not on that list? Obviously Starcraft and the original Call of Duty are must haves.
I dont enjoy starcraft, but original call of duty might be fun

Silent hill 2 (and 3 if your computer is up for it). Those games are extremely good, and I promise, you won't get bored.
Also, Abe's Oddyssey, Freelancer, Halflife 1 with expensions, Starcraft and Halo: Combat Evolved for PC.

Battlefield 2?

That's a reliable game. It even has bots so you don't have to have internet or rely on a server existing!
