A couple days back I came across the "Hardened" Edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for 54 dollars, which was (as many of you know) 5 dollars cheaper than the NORMAL edition of the game.

I then threw in the "$10 dollar off MW2" coupon from my friend's free issue of Best Buy's @Gamer magazine, and then tacked on a Best Buy Rewards Zone certificate for $10, and that's how I got the $80 dollar version of MW2 for 35 bucks.

This got me thinking, and so I wonder if anybody else has any "good deal" stories to share?

The Steam Christmas sale.
Holy shit the Steam Christmas sale.

Also GoG has some nice prices on stuff. Everything's $10 or less.

I was able to find Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories for like $12 in a Wal-mart. With the money I saved I was able to buy a copy of Dragon Age. That was a good day.

Got Halo Reach a week after launch for £13 by trading in RDR.

Best deal I've done, apart from getting Halo 3: ODST for £6 a day after release. Sure, I had to trade in a few games for that price but I wasn't playing them anyway so no worries for me.

When I worked at Gamestop, I routinely got awesome games for incredibly low prices. For example, I got Morrowing: GotY Edition for 0.01?.

Beat that.

i went to the local cheap-ass games shop in my town called "Entertainment Exchange" with 10 pounds to spend.

i left with PES 2, Football Manager 2005, Madden 2007 and Tony Hawks Underground 2 and they altogether cost under 4 pounds. fucking bargains.
with my leftover money i also managed to get hold of the first Scott Pilgrim book from HMV and a sausage roll from Greggs.

Got the Orange Box at Traget for $10...
I paid full price ($60) for Orange Box and I still can't express how good of a deal that still remains. Nonetheless, you got a GREAT deal!

I get all my games after stores mark them down (usually after the rush of people who buy them right away and then they have overstock), from GameStop (grat deals there), or a used books store that buys the overstock and sells for ridicuously low prices (Crysis Max Edition for $5, Saints Row 2 for $6, Rainbow Six Vegas 2 for $5, need I go on?).

Getting Earth Defense Force 2017 for under $10. I think I paid... $7.50? Best purchase I have ever made for my 360. Ever!

Dragon Age for the PS3 for $16

Put that in your pipe and smoke it, though my friend's friend got God of War 1 & 2 for less than 10 total

I picked up a Limited Collectors Edition of Splinter Cell: Conviction (with the Sam Fisher figurine) for £35.
