Hey, I'm getting a new computer (for gaming) and I was wondering what mouse and keyboard you guys recommend, it would be helpful if they were under, say, $100 (each). Also a good set of headphones with a mic, something I can wear for a few hours comfortably.
Thanks.

For mice, check out Logitech and Razer's offerings. I've got a Razer Diamondback and love it. If possible, try a few out before you buy. Since everyone's hands are different, what's comfortable for most people may not work for you. Think about your hand size and the way you grip the mouse [http://www2.razerzone.com/MouseGuide/html/advantages.php]. It seems silly at first, but it is helpful in picking out the right mouse. Unless you want specific features, you should be able to find an excellent gaming mouse for $20-50. I can't help with keyboards...I use a $5 Logitech that I've had for years.

Wow, nice detailed answer. Thanks, I'll check 'em out.
My friend bought a cheap $10 headset, fairly comfortable thing with a nice mic in Thailand, so I might try eBay. Still open to suggestions though.

Mouse: Logitech G9. One of the best gaming mice on the market. Ergonomically ideal, as long as you're right-handed.
And have tiny sissy hands.

(I kid, I kid)

Edit: I'm shocked that you didn't recommend this excellent mouse [http://www.alienware.com/accessories/gear-shop-Detail.aspx?ItemId=17574&CatId=1154]. After all, it's from a great manufacturer.

Sennheisser PC350 and never look back. comfortable for even the most prolonged gaming sessions, I swear you'll need to attend your own funeral before these babies get uncomfortable... price is a bit on the steep side, but you won't regret it (as I haven't either)

mouse and keyboard, I just use a bogstandard logitech wich I bought for 2 euros and a pretty nice mouse for fujitsu that a mate of me sent me :)
