good ideas from dreams

i just watched inception and i got me thinking
are their any dreams that actually gave you good ideas to use in real life

all of my dreams play out like movies and so ive gotten alot of ideas from them but i'd rather not go into them

Well, I write, so I've gotten some ideas to use in my stories from my dreams. Other than that, not really.

I wrote a really neat brass chorale from what I think was a dream. At least, I woke up and instantaneously thought "Hmm, how about this?" So if I didn't dream it, my brain must have organized some thoughts I had into a coherent concept of music. Pretty cool.

A few interesting science fiction and fantasy short stories have been based off my dreams or dreams others have told me about. Its not a consistant source of inspiration but they can be fairly interesting.

I had this one awesome idea for writing, when I had this really strange dream about a dark train station.

Now all I need to do is come up with a story for it. I've got a vague one, but... I've come up with better--and almost ironically, trippier--ideas while conscious.

I've gotten many good ideas from dreams.

Once I was having a had time beating this one boss from a game (can't remember the game) and no matter what I tried I couldn't cause any damage. then one night I dreamt I was in the game beating that boss, so the next day I tried the tactics I saw in my dream and beat him.

I had dreams that gave me more ideas for my fantasy novel.(to many to name)

I've also had dreams where I'm playing a game I like but don't own, and during the next week I often find the game at a thrift store, though it took me a couple years to find Earthbound.
I wonder if have the power to see the future (I hope so, cause lately I've been dreaming about Mother 1, 2, and 3 coming out in the US for the DS.)

Really vivid, and I still remember it in its entirety... Its a supernatural-action-comedy...
