Mulholland Drive - it's one hell of a mindfuck, but it's just SO freaking awesome.
Agreed. David Lynch's most heartwrenching dream play to date.

Another suggestion, Spoorloos.
"The Vanishing" in english, but make sure you see the dutch original and not the hollywood remake.
It's a most sublime thriller, rest assured.

'Identity'.
Yes, I've seen that film. I felt that I was cheated at the end though, although I give the director points for creativity in terms of the overall story.

There are multiple endings to the movie, and to be honest, you should watch it just for the experience. Its a hilarious movie for a mystery.

There is another comedy mystery movie called Death by Murder. It deals with this billionare inviting a number of sleuths to his home and claims he has an unsolvable mystery, to which none of them can solve. The ending is brilliant however and the comedy exceptional.

Since most of the good ones have already been mentioned I will go with Brick. It's a sort of noir mystery but it's quite well done. I enjoyed it a lot.

There is about ten or eleven thousand million Sherlock Holmes movies to pick from. The last one I watched featured Basil Rathbone fighting the nazis - it was hilarious. I like how no explaination whatsoever was given as to how Sherlock Holmes was still alive by the 1940s. He just wanders in and no one gives a shit.

Well, you asked!

I don't really watch movies like that, and that was the last I saw
The live action ones or the cartoon ones? :p
