The aim of the game is to alternate from post to post between adding a good detail and a bad detail to a situation. Feel free to be as nonsensical or obscure as you want.

Example:
Good News! You're going on holiday
Bad News! The plane broke down in mid air
Good News! You brought a parachute, just in case
Bad News! Someone replaced the parachute with cutlery
etc...

I'll start: Good News! You finally got that job you wanted!

Oh, and if it reaches a dead end, feel free to start a new chain.
